“Will not contain anything created before.” Just to be sure. You mean all patches and sounds are completely new? Nothing from the previous incarnations of WBF? I own the vast majority of your refills and don’t want to just be duplicating. Thanks.

Bitley I have your original Way Beyond Fairlight R2 refill. If I want the new WBF X? Should I get the WBF X for $69 or WBF R2X $99?
What's the difference besides the price which is obvious? Just found out about this new refill today. Haven't been to your website in years.

Welcome back!
I hope it is getting more obvious if you study the site but let's only talk about Way Beyond Fairlight X in this thread.
((( There ALSO is a slightly more luxurious version of the refill you already have which includes several bonus refills. That is R2X — which can be read as R2Xpanded. )))
Way Beyond Fairlight X — on the other hand — is a completely new version. It is the next generation refill from me. New Reason technology used. It is set to be a truly jaw dropping entirely new soundset using Reason to its maximum capacity.
Here's the press release too:
For Immediate Release Bitley Sounds Launches Public Beta for the new 'Way Beyond Fairlight X' Reason ReFill (Reason 11 and up)
A New Era in Sound Design: Way Beyond Fairlight X Beta Now Available
After years of dedicated development and relentless pursuit of sonic innovation, Bitley Sounds proudly presents the public beta release of Way Beyond Fairlight X. This landmark addition to the celebrated Fairlight series promises to push creative boundaries, offering a unique, modern twist to an iconic sound library. With an invitation for early adopters and contributors, this is more than just a release—it’s a collaborative venture into the future of sound.
A Legacy of Unmatched Quality and Innovation
The Way Beyond Fairlight series is rooted in years of refined sound development, starting with Fairlight CMI Legacy and evolving through Fairlight XXL, Platinum, and Way Beyond Fairlight R2 and R2X. Each refill in the series offers a distinct sound palette, showcasing unparalleled character that resonates with music producers across genres. Much like owning a collection of legendary synthesizers—where each instrument from a Roland Jupiter X to an Alpha Juno 2 offers something unique—these refills complement one another, providing diverse tools for creativity.
Introducing Way Beyond Fairlight X: More Than an Update
Way Beyond Fairlight X introduces a fresh approach, enhancing previous refills without overshadowing them. This new library embodies an adventurous spirit by reprocessing audio through innovative techniques, refining each waveform to achieve new heights of inspiration. Early adopters will experience first-hand the cutting-edge soundscapes that are being developed and will have the opportunity to shape the final product through their contributions.
Join the Journey: A Special Invitation for Signature Sound Creators
Sound developers are encouraged to contribute by designing original Combinator backdrops and signature patches. The public beta, available for a limited-time introductory price of $69 USD, ensures early participants will have access to all future updates and the final release.
Timeline and Background
January 2016: Launch of Way Beyond Fairlight R2, redefining creative potential for music creators.

September 2024: Start of development for Way Beyond Fairlight X, following the success of Way Beyond Fairlight R2X.
November 2024: The public beta opens, inviting programmers and musicians to contribute and refine this next-generation sound library.
Collaboration and Guidelines
Participants will collaborate using a shared Dropbox folder, with guidelines in place to ensure a smooth workflow. This system facilitates seamless updates and enables real-time participation in the project’s progress. Communication with fellow contributors will be managed through a shared document, with direct email contact available for support and feedback.
Special Launch Price and Access
Early adopters can join this pioneering project at the pre-release price of $69 USD, gaining early access to one of the most ambitious sound libraries yet. Yes!
I also dream of a dreamteam of sound scientists wanting to contribute patches and what not, as signature patches are so fun to have in there. While I have a pretty creative mind other people often surprise me with their completely different ideas so that would be lovely to see on board. The heavy base work with extensive looping and editing is done and new Combi 2 graphics are done too so now it's all about patching ideas galore. In that way it becomes a kind of SDK without programming needs. If you want your name in the product.
By the way if you like Photoshop like I do there is a completely free app called Krita which is so fun! Took a few hours to get it but it really is very "photoshoppy" without subscription hassles.

I'm so pumped for this. I have all of your previous Fairlight refills and they are all over tracks of mine. You've always done fantastic work and I'll definitely be grabbing this one too!
