Pattern Mutator Rhythm Collection

Odesi is an app that includes a number of rhythms allowing you to quickly inject a rhythm without spending time manual editing each note in every chord I decided to recreate these rhythms in Pattern Mutator for easy use in a Reason player stack.

All patterns have been created to be usable with Pattern Mutator's transpose feature so do not include the note changes just the rhythm, simple write your root note and pattern mutator will transpose the rhythm to that note, add a scales and chords player to produce chords that are using your chosen scale.

It's handy having the patterns inside PM as you can play with the shuffle and gate length and obviously you can record what you have back into another PM for mutations

Another thread viewtopic.php?f=5&p=620018#p620018 recently inspired me to finally learn how to use Zvork Volt SL1 (an RE that's been sitting in my rack for years). I figured these rhythm patches were a good opportunity to put it to use. I stacked 8 of your rhythm loaded PatMuts all set to run a high hat sample in Redrum. VoltSL1 is randomly turning the PatMuts on and off (randomization is tweakable via the LFO) - or you can switch thru the different PatMuts by turning the Combi's "pattern" knob. Kind of fun to get some variation. Thought I would share it here.

Not to be a stick-in-the-mud, but aren't these patterns the intellectual property of Odesi?

I'm honestly not sure,

the iPad app is free and I used my eyes to recreate similar rhythmic patterns.
then recorded the data into PM that I manually entered in sequencer lanes.

I'm not selling anything and obviously I'm not trying to hide the inspirational source
and although the names match the app content there is a difference between the app content and the patches.

The iPad app is pretty cool but somewhat limited and I would suggest trying it and deciding for yourself.

I suspect that a rhythmic pattern on its own (just like a chord progression) does not have enough uniqueness or merit to not fall under public domain or common knowledge and thus cannot be claimed for DMCA or other illusory property rights.
