Hi All!
Was wondering if anyone knew of any decent bass ghost note options / patches in Reason or how it could be achieved?
Thanks!

It's in the RE manual, can't remember off the top of my head but there is a way to produce what is referred to as ghost notes.

I think there’s maybe only four... one for each string and maybe different velocities. I haven’t used it in ages but I remember them being in there. The manual has more info.Creativemind wrote: ↑10 Feb 2021Can you elaborate a bit more? lol!MannequinRaces wrote: ↑09 Feb 2021If you have Reason Electric Bass there are some ghost notes in there.

My understanding of the term "ghost notes" for anything is ultimately about the velocity / volume.
I think the general idea being that your able to notice when they missing but they have no focus / prominence.
It's actually a bit of a pain to explain now I'm thinking about it.
If you're programming a drum beat you might for instance use a low velocity snare hat or some other prec to add "something" extra to the beat that is not prominent but when removed leaves the beat missing something.
I'm guessing it's a similar principle with anything else.

It can be that with drums (possibly with bass too) but in this case it's like palm muting on the guitar but with a bass. You kind of mute the string and half play the non strum / pick hand.Billy+ wrote: ↑10 Feb 2021My understanding of the term "ghost notes" for anything is ultimately about the velocity / volume.
