So I'm on the west coast in the bay area and the rap scene here has a certain gritty bass sound that is also used in a lot of Detroit rap songs.

I've been looking for this sound in reason thinking it may be a stock sound but I haven't found it yet. Does anyone know where I can find this sound/refill or what the name of it is?

Sounds like a band pass filtered 303 bass to me.

Try TB Synth patch for subtraktor with a ecf filter on bandpass and some art set to bottom, don't forget to post back if it works for you
