I never knew how to use Receive Note until user: dioxide explained it in a post today. It's actually a cool player, once you understand how it works. Basically, you can use ti to turn on/off notes coming from player above it in a stack. And you can do so via the CV input on the back, which can be controlled with an LFO, Matrix, Euclid, or any other CV signal.

One thing I am excited about with this device is using it to send notes from one player stacks to another (via MIDI CV Convert) and trigger the notes on and off. This is great for giving variety to your song. It works great for fills. It also allows you to use up to 8 different instances of Dual Arp on one instrument!

There are three different patches in the zip folder. All of them require MIDI-CV Converter and Receive Note. One patch is controlled by Kompusion, one is controlled by Sequences, one is controlled by Matrix. Instructions are included in the Combis.

Players are to MIDI what synthesizers are to waveforms.
