How many saws could a super saw saw if a super saw could saw saws?
I need to dig around to find all the SSs I created the last time we did a "show us your super saws" thread.
My current favorite super saw patch (now that my JP8000 is hanging out with a friend out West) is from Peak, which can create 3 saws per oscillator, 9 saws per voice, x8 voices if you do a full unison stack. The "per voice" pre and post filter distortion can also add to the excitement factor as well as the distortion FX (three distortions total!). Throw in a little ring mod or Osc 3 filter mod and you can get some crazy sonic variations going. Happy to share patches with any other Peak or Summit users out there!
For monophonic fun, both my Shape Shifter and Cloud Terrarium both do an awesome super saw, as well as super "anything" including super wavetable sounds. Guess I'm on a bit of a hardware trip these days…

I have about 23 patches ready, some of which are in this very rough demo. The main lead is an NNXT patch which I sampled from my real JP-8080. I'm a very late 90s /early 2000s kind of Trance guy, so that's what all my presets sound like:
Sounds so good!
I'm looking forward to playing with these patches
Just a heads up to everyone, we are aiming for a May 30 release of the ReFill, for version 1.0 at least.
If you would like to submit patches to be considered, please do so at least a few days before then.
Thank you all for the patches so far! Please keep in mind that not all patches may make it into the ReFill, including many of my own lol. We are doing our best to choose a diverse selection of patches (both in terms of sound and device used). If you are submitting a Combinator patch, please make sure that you have assigned at least some of the knobs and buttons (if not all). For this release, we are focusing on patch organization, patch naming, levels, assigning the combi backdrop, etc., but we won't have time to help rework patches for this release.
Thanks!

Here is a Spectral "Super Saw" for Nostromo, using 20 voices. Has a little different character, but pretty big non the less. Has some MW modulation too.

Oops, made another one (Combinator) with Subtractor and Stock/Free devices. Very snappy, use mod wheel to filter down.

Here is another one made with Europa. Its a bit more brassy because of the smoother attack and rounded envelope for a bit resonating filter. The sound has a slightly mettalic character through all the ensambles added.

For me the Combinator is just a necessary evil that I use when I need to save effects chained to the main synth sound. I never touch the Combinator knobs and buttons to be honest. It's just not how I use Reason.
I guess I could make my patches without the additional effects (combinator free) but then I don't feel like they're presentable the way I want them. So I'd rather skip that.
hello,
one idea for organization of the patches
could be 'by developer'
and each folder has a text file written by the developer explaining what's going on
arranging the patches 'by developer' also gives credit to the developer
tritoneaddiction could explain that his patches are not wired to any knobs / buttons
it would suck to not have the true patch that the developer created
it would also allow less experienced people like me to figure out how to wire up stuff in a combinator
cheers,
j

1. Synth
2. If there is an RE + Stock, put it in RE folder.
That way you do not have to call up patches for stuff you don't have.

Don't think it has to be a disqualification. If it's good then it's good. Simple as that.TritoneAddiction wrote: ↑20 May 2020Oh well. Guess I'm scewed then. But that's ok. Maybe next time.

But knob assignment is nice addition, I did MW + all four knobs on my Combi.

I made something with full Combinator knob assignment. What you're hearing in the mp3 is the default setup.
It's made with stock (Reason 10 Lite compatible!) devices, and I based it on existing but slightly modified patches from the FSB.

Here is one with Parsec. I just ran out of filters so i attached an external. For real polyphony you need to add some Distrubtor stuff.

One with NNXT. Some details can be adjusted in the NNXT itself. As usual there are not enough Combinator knobs.
EDIT: I re-uploaded the patch, because i overlooked a free knob

Great! Thanks so much for doing that!
We are fans of Lectric Panda's Janitor, but we want to limit patches to a single non-built-in device, whether it's a RE or VST. Thank you.
see if you can use this, its a bit 80ties and done with europa
