When you rename a refill in finder/windows explore the change is initially recognised in Reason (if you navigate out of and back into the refill location). But when you next open Reason, it goes back to the original name, presumably because the name is baked into the Refill itself (rather than being drawn from the file name).
Is there any way around this?
By the way, the only Reason I want to do this is because some Refills I have are listed in all CAPS, and for a couple of major refill providers (I won't name names), the Refills don't have a naming convention, making them more difficult to navigate, use and enjoy. (For example: some are provider name then title, others are just title; some are all CAPS; some are abbreviated, others are not.)
Is it possible to rename Refills?

You can rename refill file.
But "the name is baked into the Refill itself".
You never used "ReFill Packer"?

No.
"ReFill Packer" is to create refills, not to edit them.
Refill is closed format.

I might be missing something, but it doesn't look like you can use the packer to modify existing refills - only to create new ones.
Is this right?

I’m afraid that’s right. Once the refill is made, it can’t be changed in any way.tobypearce wrote: ↑14 Feb 2020I might be missing something, but it doesn't look like you can use the packer to modify existing refills - only to create new ones.

It is possible, yes. But it will take you forever +1 day.
This is how you do it.
Go thru each patch and sample in the refill and save it to a folder on your computer. For samples, you are going to have to export those individually. Once you are done doing that (forever +1 day later) you can save it all as the refill name of your choice via Refill Packer.
Or you can just live with the name it was given.
