Check out All The Breaks CD - has 300 classics on there including this one, and plenty of others (Paris break, Apache, Amen....)

hello,

can someone tell me if these breaks are loops
or do we import them into reason and set loop markers
or rext them up

and if each sound is individual or just one long track...

they sound very cool

thanks for any help

cheers,

Hi J
It's an audio CD not a rom disk unfortunately. So I ripped it to Win Media Player as a wav file.
There are like 3 sampled breaks per track
These are not edited loops, they are straight from the vinyl raw sampled drum break.
So you'll have to do your own refining and creative editing.
Excellent buy and a nice stroll down memory lane.

Listen to this man's sense of syncopation.
This is why I could never read written drum music, It's about the space between notes

hello,

i got the cd
i ripped it to the computer as lossless wave files
i open one track (3 riffs) into Recycle
i isolate one of the riffs into a loop and get a perfect loop
however the tempo goes whack at like 230bpm
this seems odd

also does anyone know if recycle has a snap?

thanks for your help,

j

i'm not sure if i need to time stretch or what

[Funny thing] Did some "crate digging " in the old Reason FSB - namely the "CHEMICAL BEATS" folder. Lot of the beats in there sound remarkably similar to well known BREAK BEATS on the CD, (If you play them at 90~100 bpm).

hello,

i'm still having trouble figuring out how these breaks get along with recycle and R10
in terms of tempo and/or time stretching

most of my stuff is like at 90-110bpm
and the recycle loops come out like 230bpm and other tempos

i'm new to time stretching

i've gone online to look for videos

but none deal with recycle and R10 at the same time

any help is appreciated, thanks

cheers,

You have total control over the tempo in Recycle, you just need to set the number of bars (and maybe beats) in the sample.

Think of it as what's going to be dumped out to the sequencer when you hit 'midi to track' in the Dr Octorex. It's really that simple.
If you ain't hip to the rare Housequake, shut up already.

Damn.
