Hi All!

Anyone got any good explosion samples or know where I can get any?

I've got some but only about a dozen and they don't seem to be what I want. I have used the Thor FX patch A-Bomb before as well but that isn't gonna work on this track I'm working on atm.

1) MIXFOOD CITYSLICKERS (sound effects of a city, cars, traffic jam abuse, trains, pub brawls and chatter, football cheers, cops, ambulances etc)

2) MIXFOOD WARMONGER (sound effects from first world war, second world war, like sound FX from Pearl Harbour movie are great)

3) MIXFOOD DARKAGES (sound effects from the dark ages, witches, warlocks, horseback battles, jousting, swords claning, buckaneers and galleons)

4) MIXFOOD MOONWALKER (science fiction FX - meteors, comets, moonwalking, super novas, nuclear rocket engines, robot noises etc).

5) MIXFOOD JURASSIC JUMBO (dinosaurs, dimetrodons, T-Rex, Terrodactyls etc etc)

Just checked the Propellerhead site and Google, can't find any of those Mixfood samples you mentioned. Where can I find those?

What's the kind of crash / explosion at the very beginning of this track?

Zero-G offers a robust line of cinematic sound packs, some of which include explosion sound effects. I've actually used their explosion sounds in several video productions.

"Deep Impact" and "Perception" definitely contain explosion sounds. Some of their other packs may also.

There is a RV7000 patch called EFX Kick Bomb. Try some bassdrums with that patch to get some Explosion sounds. For some variation you can use pulveriser or other effects on the reverb. This is how i do it myself.

Go to sites like Freesound.org and combine a few of them to make your own. You can actually find some gems at these sites and you can always edit and process the samples to your liking.

I'd love to see these but since Ambi is selling for $9, this may be asking a bit much of the dev.
