On my website I've posted an archive with some free bonus combinators that did not get finished in time for the VK-2 sound bank. I've managed to finish them now, but be warned; they are slightly experimental! Most revolve around the idea of tuning one or more of the oscillators by external CV, thus allowing for hybrid monophonic/polyphonic patches where one oscillator plays a polyphonic chord while another plays an arpeggio, for example. A short manual/description is provided for the template devices, in addition to several presets to try out.

Some of the template devices require the following RE's: Blamsoft's Polymodular Breakout Box, Jiggery Pokery's Lolth CV-splitter (both free) and one requires Blamsoft's Distributor CV Switch (not free).

You're welcome everyone. If you have any questions you can drop me a PM.

For any fence-sitters out there, the archive (among other things) contains a patch that sort of "abuses" the VK-2's poly mode by tuning all 6 poly voices to the same note, thus yielding a 6-voice monophonic unison without using the actual on-board unison. If you switch that on as well you can go up to a pretty dense 6x4=24 voice (=72 osc) unison for monophonic sounds. For owners of the Distributor CV-switch, there is also a paraphonic combi patch (e.g. you can play a 3-note chord inside a monophonic patch by sending the chord notes to the different oscillators). The thor patch that is used to produce the tuning is also included separately so you can load it up into your own combinator creations.

Cool, Thanks!
No trees were destroyed in the sending of this message, however, a significant number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
