There are some very good deals for guitarists in the PropShop until Sept 5:
Revival is $49, this is a treasure trove for guitar amps and effects.
Kuassa stuff, just follow this thread to see how much there is to their equipment.
Marco's Boutique sounds.
All kinds of effects.
Now we can dual-amp, tri-amp, and quad-amp (and re-amp) with VST's inside Reason - WOW.

Yo, so not being an ampologist myself, I'm not even sure where to begin modeling another legendary tone or two. This time how to be like Tom Scholz of the band Boston? I'm more interested in trying to get the lead tone in "Something about you" which starts at about 0:27.

Apologies in advance if I've missed this subject in the past. Tom's tones are about as legendary as one can get and I'm well aware of all the work he put into creating them. Just wondering what y'all think and another thanks to those that keep this awesome thread rippin.

Looking for classic Boston tones? Check out Marco's guitar patch set for the Softube Amp built in to Reason 8, 9, and 10. It's $15 and goes on sale for $9 often.

Others have done Boston tones, mentioned in this thread (I think called Rockman). You can ask Dimi, guitar expert and RT friend, on his Facebook page how to do it with Kuassa stuff, like Vermilion.
https://www.facebook.com/dnalbantov
Boston basically used expensive Marshall/Les Paul tones, and there are many ways to get there.

Cool, thanks. I should've searched Rockman here and I would've found Normen's patch. Also should've said I have Marco's Rockmen refill which is a great starting point. I'll see if I can get closer to the solo tone and then reach out again for tweaks and such. Normen even mentioned he was getting his hands on a Rockman X100 about a year ago, so that might be an interesting follow up.

The bevy of goodness keeps piling up with limits deduced to rubble on the ground.

Guitarist Ian Jones on Facebook said in response to Dimi's recent work that he (Ian) cannot get a Vox tone from Kuassa or Softube like he got from Line6. Here is a quick example of classic Vox tone with Kuassa. Anybody got more examples of Vox tones in Kuassa or Softube? I certainly agree that it was easy to get Vox tones from Line 6, and I always played my Tele's through Line6. Line6/Vox has drastic mid-range EQ relative to Kuassa/Fender.

Didn't know the term Shoegaze. Although I knew about bands like My Bloody Valentine and the Cocteau Twins.

Thanks for bringing that up Dimi!
