Thanks for the info on your guitar gear, always interesting to know more on that topic :)
But that wasn't exactly what I had in mind.
Each guitar player has his fingers and will sound different, so when someone grabs one of your presets it will never sound exactly the same. The guitar will be different, etc, etc. One ends up asking "how do I put this sounding to what I heard?". Knowing what pickup combination to choose would be a great jump-start to save in getting there (saving time is the great advantage of presets)
What I meant is, what specific pickup did you use for the Leppard sound, for example? Neck PU?, Bridge PU? Combination? HB or SC mode (coil split)? Considering you have a little collection I would also have to ask the guitar.
It would be great if you always specified these details with each preset/sound you "publish".
Yes, I will include some basic information, what pickup and position were used in a txt file, or photo with text in it for each sound

Going to check your videos now :D

Happy Tuesday guys! Here is a pack of 5 Blues presets combinators for Reason and Kuassa Extensions for download! OD3603 Blues Overdrive and Vermilion RE.
This pack kicks major ass! Some very inspiring tones here. A must-have for Reason guitar players.

Thanks, Dimi! Looking forward to the next refill.

Dimi, feel free to use any of the ideas for patch organization in post #1 in this thread, it came from synthesizing a couple of years of discussions between guitarists on the old Propellerheads User Forum. Of course you can take out all the "RT" references and make it Kuassa. We are all loving the work you are doing to make Reason a fully professional DAW.

May I humbly suggest doing some collaborations with one or a few Reason synth masters like Adam Fielding. Certainly the two of you together could blow the lid off peoples' concepts of what Reason is.

Thanks for the suggestion! :) I will look at it today!
Here are two tones more. The first some of my own improvised-tunes, the second one is Cream "Sunshine of Your Love"
If you guys like the first one, I have already made the refill for it and going to include it in the collection! :)
Cheers,
Dimi

Great work from all those involved. But apart from Marco's refill, are any of these just stock devices? Seems clunky to make a patch bank where the end user must spend a thousand dollars to kit up, or otherwise have a lot of dead patches.

And Dimi, I looked at some of your earlier combinators when Kuassa released the new racks, but you also used other Kuassa stuff. Is this still the case? I already have Vermillion and Creme, and at a stretch would pay another 75USD for the new devices, but it's a bit much to expect people to buy every single Kuassa product just to use your combinators.

Hey JJ, this thread is an attempt to bring Reason into the guitarist's world. It's a start, and we're all used to Amplitube, Scuffham, Guitar Rig, etc that work in other DAWs. The huge breakthrough for us has been Kuassa, and since you have Vermilion and Creme, you are travelling the same road as the rest of us. The now stock Softube was a nice addition to the world of tube-sounding computer amps. I also like the hidden Sononics Revival guitar amps. We would love to see some more concerted tender concern for the guitar world from the Props staff, but it seems to have fallen on our own shoulders, now getting a serious boost from Kuassa and Dimi. That's just where we're at fortunately or unfortunately. By the way, not to undercut Kuassa's sales, but many of the tones from Dimi using the new Kuassa effects boxes are achievable using the three stomp boxes built in to Creme (creatively named A, B, and C.). If you would like to save some money, try those. And you can use those three stomp boxes right before Vermilion with a Creme that has everything else turned off. And you can put another instance of Creme right after the Vermilion to add the nice Creme cabinets and mics. Yes it's still a bit clunky, but I think Dimi is moving really fast to bring us all up to speed. I still think Props could add a set of guitar patches based of stock devices like Kuassa is doing for their own stuff, but I'm so happy with Vermilion and Creme and Dimi, I'm not waiting, especially with the new developments in Reason 9 for synths taking up a bunch of their time.

Thanks for your response John, and I should have said that your attempts to expand Reason for guitar are commendable. Been reading a lot of your threads, and you seem to have a soft spot for Revival. I'm just not sure I could pay $100 for a set of secondary features.

For me, I like 'out of the box' solutions. Vermillion and Cream do that pretty well, but they've really been the only RE developers to focus on the Reason guitarist. I have that trio Blamsoft pedal emulators, but find them to be fairly horrible, and very demanding on my CPU.

Dimi's tones sound fantastic, but again.... buying the EQ bundle, the pedal sims and the maximiser seems like overkill.

For all the RE's I would need to kit up with to take advantage of the wonderful community ReFills showcased in this thread (and your own collected and developed combinators), it might well cost me close to 800$. At that point, we're getting into the territory of an actual hardware rack like Avid Eleven (with bonus free ProTools) which I'm led to believe is superior to any DAW sims out there.

Of course that does then get back into the issue of Reason integration....

Has anyone played around with the Propellerhead Leslie Cabinet as a guitar FX? I like to play through it sometimes with the horns off, and the distortion up, and sometimes chain a few together. Its not a sharp sound, quite the opposite, but has a really thick late 60's tone to it (think Vanilla Fudge, Steppenwolf, even a bit of Sabbath when you add another RE for a slight touch of Ratt pedal type fuzz)

Its hardly surprising that Dimi is using Kuassa devices, he is employed by Kuassa as a product specialist and if I were employing him I would say he is doing a great job :) Dimi is mostly using Verm and Creme and stock devices in many of the combinators. The "pedal" effects are just $25 each, silencer is free. You already have Creme and Verm.

You could even swap out the Kuassa pedals for the Blamsoft in the combi's when released (I think the Blam DC-9 Overdrive is pretty good actually ;))

However the Kuassa pedals are well worth the investment. I have not seen the EQ devices in any of the combi's yet (I may be wrong have not seen them all).

Finally having used the Eleven Rack I would not get so carried away that it is better then any DAW sims. Its not. S-Gear is way way better and Kuassa stands up well to S-Gear in my opinion having A/B them in my muti-effects rig. The Eleven is getting on a bit.

Ok good to know. Im only basing my assumption on some earlier combinators he released which included the Eqs and the maximiser. If he's only using the new pedal emulators with Creme amd Verm then I'll gladly consider spending $75 on them, and take advantage of these great tone patches. Better still if Kuassa offer a bundle (hint hint!)

To be honest I havent checked the patches since finding this thread as Im away from home (and my guitars) until next week.
