Any experts on string-libraries?

I have heard a lot about Miroslav.

What are your thoughts about this one?

In some of the demo there seems a ton of reverb... Makes me a bit suspicious...
Everything sounds better with reverb! ;)

I'm interested in whether it is better than Euphronic Strings. I'm planning to buy that sometime, but "Chambre" is cheaper than that :)

Agree, me too do not like reverby demos. Will have to investigate my sound gallery to see if I need more strings.
A few things in this item seems interesting. Too bad one cannot "try" refills beforehand. For €30 it might be worth it.

Yes, that price is definitely better! ;)
Thanks for that!

The demo tracks sound pretty good.  I really wish I could try it out before buying.

Yes, you are right, I actually tried that before buying. It is a nice thing to do.

Maybe if it were instead an IDT, that would be possible :)

Having it as a RE helps protect against piracy and allows users to try it...

Well, they are strings.. ;) strings and reverb go together like guitars and distortion.

There's a video on YouTube with Andrew Skelton running through some of the patches. Not the same as trying it out yourself but might give you a better idea than just the demos alone  :)

Make sure you buy from his site - not the prop shop. ;)

Please report back how you like it!

As well, I don't think I got what the REX files are doing in there... Maybe I spaced out during the video...

First things first.  My Mac couldn't unzip the downloaded file. So I emailed them.
They replied saying " Macs have a problem unzipping large files ".

So I had to find an alternative Zip utility(from the net); which I wasn't happy about doing - never keen on installing random apps from the net.  Anyway after trying 3 different Zip apps; one managed to unzip the 5gb refill.

Not a great start!

I think I'll need to go through some of it's Rex files for some quick gratification
I'll test out the individual string sounds, articulations and variations later...

I'm thinking about getting this one, too. I've been wanting to upgrade from the stock strings and this looks like a lot of good stuff for a great price!
Thx for sharing about the zip problem. Hopefully I will remember if I do end up getting it! Also, I hope my slower machine will handle the patches ok...
