Looking for, what would be, a ReFill if I had full Reason instead of Essentials. The ph Shop simply won't sell Refills to Essentials users.

But I do have an NN-XT sampler in there. So:

1) Can I put 3rd party refills into my NN-XT?

2) If I can, does anyone know of a library of sounds of industrial noises I might be able to get? I especially want woody noises. From 2x4's being slapped together to box-cars bumping into each other to woodblocks.

New Guy thanks you.

Refills will open, but you'll only be able to use patches that use Essentials devices (so no Thor, Malström, Kong etc.). NN-XT patches will work just fine.

Maybe these refills are what you're looking for?
http://www.loopmasters.com/genres/36-Pe ... Percussion
http://www.loopmasters.com/genres/36-Pe ... sion-Vol-2
You'd only be able to use the included NN-XT patches, not the Kong patches (note: I haven't bought either of these myself, so I can't speak for their quality).

You might also like some of these:
http://detunized.com/universal_formats/
The ones that list "sxt" as a format include NN-XT patches. The others are packaged as wav files. Everything I've bought from them has been excellent.

Thanks, Pepin very much. Didn't even know where to begin with this idea.

Holy crap, Pepin! You put me exactly, precisely where I want to be.
You see, I bought Re Essentials (only) hoping I could build an alternative rack of elctro-acoustic instruments and sampled real world sounds rather than having much to do with synths (I have actually tired myself of synths over a long journey that began as a junior high kid with an EML 101 synth back in the late 70's).

I will buy the junkyard percussion right away - and may spend the rest of my life at the detunized site.

You opened a door for me today.

Another Essentials user here! :)

Indeed, PH doesn't allow to be any ReFill purchased by Essentials users, no matter if you could use the content or not, probably to avoid any complaints later by "buying at your own risk". Own Parsec? Want a ReFill with nothing but Parsec patches? Won't work!

But of course you can get ReFills from other places, including new content for the NNXT, REX or *.wav to be used in ReDrum or directly in the sequencer. Loopmasters offers various packs which cover most samplers out there, including NNXT.

Thanks, IchMensch! Will need to know someday how straight up, plain .wavs get loaded.... But not just yet. I'll have plenty to do before then.

Hi there, welcome to the site. I was going to direct you to New Atlantis Audio, but his old site is not working atm. I was able to find it at the Props Shop though: https://shop.propellerheads.se/browse/? ... ntis+Audio

They make some of the best Granular and surreal sound refills. Check them out for yourself. Read the descriptions on each refill and see what fits what you want.

...another one like that: http://www.moonechoaudio.com/

Hope you find what you're looking for.

Wow!
Sorry, buyers in your location can't purchase this item.
Congratulations you are the first soundware supplier I've attemped to purchase from this year that hasn't managed to work out the EU VAT thing yet.  I've made 5 purchases from US based suppliers this year and all of them have been able to calculate, itemise and apply the correct UK VAT rate so far.

I was worried it would affect small devs not devs claiming to have multiple 6 figure turnovers.

Ah well, there's plenty of stuff available out there from vendors that don't think the EU is some territory akin to the likes of N. Korea.  Your choice I guess.

As charming as you are, I definitely do not want or need your money.

Good luck with this forum folks.
It's wasn't personal, just a statement of how things stand with US based suppliers, you are simply are the first supplier I've come across that is not supplying to the EU due to the new VAT rules. Like I said your choice I guess and you are possibly not the only one who has taken that stance.

Your response took it into the realms of personality by commenting on how pleasant or not you percieve me as being, and then stomping out with a good luck forum style departure.

Now we actually have moderators I hope they can discern the valid stuff from that kind of drama.

Thanks, I'l just assume that was meant sincerely!

No rules were broken that I can see, but buttons were certainly pushed by both parties IMO! But why even take chances and make jabs at each other when we could all just let that attitude die with the old PUF?

That's my suggestion - If either of you have suggestions for how to better run this forum, we are (sincerely) all ears!

There were certainly no buttons being pushed from here except the add to cart one on the link provided which prompted the reply that the product was not available in my location.  It wasn't a jab that contained any bad attitude it was merely my response to that experience.

I think you guys are doing a fine job running the forum as it goes so I can't provide any input on how to do it better other than to keep an eye on who it is that is actually bringing up (and mentioning) attitudes and carrying them forward from the PUF.  I didn't evem have any bad attitude to this guy over there I simply disagreed with his views on EU VAT laws and it would appear that only people that are in agreement with his stance on the matter are the only ones that have what could be classed as a 'good' attitude toward him.

I received e-mails from New Atlantis Audio, Moon Echo Audio and Nucleus Soundlabs to say that they will no longer sell to the EU. I haven't heard from any others - yet.

Yes some stuff can be got from the Prop Shop, but if these companies have a sale, it doesn't usually extend to the Propellerhead shop.

Anyway - This would probably be better suited to its own thread rather than clutter up the OP's

Agreed.

I'm probably off to smash up my kitchen now but I promise I'll record the sounds and make them available Worldwide if I do... :)
