What I'd like:
A noise removal tool
Friktion but brass
Physically modelled bass
Physically modelled drums
Saturation tools

What we'll probably get :
Another synth.
Each of those instruments cost easily 100 bucks or more depending on quality. How much would such a Reason full or update cost if it would be build in?

Maybe they sell them separate and add them to R+ only or provide some bundles like the Rigs in the past?
I mean, they're gonna make rack extension. It's what they do. And they can sell them in whatever manner they see fit. I'm just listing what I'd personally like to see them create next.

Hard to say. I'm still blown away by Objekt. They set the bar high with that one. A Ripley like Reverb maybe? Hopefully they can keep raising the bar with more powerful but also very 'Reasony' devices. Although, Polytone?! Kind of disappointing after Objekt and next to Ripley. It's not bad. Just not that great either. Especially considering VST support. And that's the real rub for Reason devices. I'd rather have an RE any day of the week. But, if it's not there in Reason, it will likely be there as a VST. Doesn't feel like there's a future for RE's outside of what RS put out. And they seem more focused on the Rack than the DAW. So, whatever RS RE comes next it better be something a bit special or nobody is going to be very interested.

I highly doubt RS would implement it in any way close to your suggestion as that would be very device specific code that would entangle the sequencer with the Rack. Keeping both as strongly separated as possible is the route they chose when introducing the RRP
Yes I realise that. That's why I suggested the slice edit functions should be mirrored in an adaptive midi edit window. So if you have RRP you get the device display only. For Reason full DAW you get an enhanced midi editing experience, that might be worth paying extra for! Maybe I have missed something here, but RRP is just the rack and not the sequencer isn't it!?!

For me personally they could scrap the slice edit on the device altogether and just have it in the midi edit window, but yeah I agree it's not the RS way or the way it has been handled to date.

HV Formant and HV Formant Classic. The versions I have were done in Synthmaker but it was based on a 1970's kit you could buy and build. It would probably be bigger than Thor or synths around that size. Both have sequencers that are very expandable.

I like the idea of Polytone. Sure it isn't fancy. But a cool idea. I want to get R13 but I am waiting for most of the bugs to finally get fixed.

I'd love to see them come out with a really powerful, versatile, full-featured arpeggiator. Dual Arp doesn't really do it for me, and the other RE arps are OK but a bit stiff compared to something like Bleass arp

All that said, limitations can be fun. I actually really like RPG-8 and use it a lot

I disagree, but do think that RS should give newly released RS REs free to users of the current Reason release. This would give people an incentive to upgrade.
All other users on older versions would have to buy them even if for example they skipped v13 and only upgraded to v14.

After tested Objekt with Ripley and still played around with Loques Polytone Patchs,
I tend to say, the only thing i´m waiting now,

are a mastering compressor and eq like TDR´s Kotelnikov Ge and Slick EQ M what are my favourites for tracking
so would reasonstudios implement the TDR stuff maybee in the future ;)

in the ballpark of RackExtensions, alongside Millenias NSEQ2, BX Muse EQ or Kuassas AT1 and Kuassas Kratos2 in the master section.

ITB with Reason+Rackextension, Audiothing, Hornetplugins, some Cherry Audio synths, Soundtoys FX, there is nothing really nothing i need
and now with Polytone i see now needs for more synths, when this unit just comes with better sound than AIr Audios Vacum Pro VA synth cpu hog.....

The last 5-10% of athmosphere and deepness aka harmonics i only can get from hardware, but that´s okay and at the end not a thing of expensive solutions which costs thousands....
R13, ten years later and still no Grammy :o
