A third Quantum Reverb plugin on the market...
After Relab's QuantX https://relabdevelopment.com/quantx/ and Savant Audio's Quantum Room Simulator https://savantaudiolabs.com/product/qua ... simulator/ Turn2On is joining in with their Quantwave Room Sim
https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... im-reverb/.
Not having done a shoot out I'm curious how it holds up... Definitely the most affordable option at the moment at the intro price of $19.
From the shop website:
In the early 1980s, digital reverb was still in its infancy, with most effects relying on spring or plate reverb units for room simulation. Quantec™ emerged with the QRS™ (Quantec Room Simulator), a revolutionary digital reverb processor that could create immersive, spatially realistic reverbs. Unlike other digital reverbs of its time, the QRS™ could simulate rooms with organic warmth, making it invaluable to engineers looking for a space-accurate, smooth decay. Its unique sound was achieved by a proprietary algorithm that added a distinct character.
Inspired by this era and aiming to pay tribute to the QRS technology, QuantWave Quantum Room Sim Reverb captures the essence of that early digital reverb.
QuantWave combines QRS-based algorithms with modern processing flexibility.
QuantWave allows you to explore multiple reverb modes (Normal, Sparse, Dense) with advanced controls: room size options, bandwidth and other customizations. Reverb modes is based on variations of diffusion and reverb tails envelopes for a tailored studio experience.
QuantWave provides over 150+ patches with 9 reverberation categories - from rooms, studios to cathedrals and creative spaces
Try the QuantWave as part of your Reason Rack today.

Wow, seems like Quantec Room Simulation time: Apple added those Quantec reverbs into Logic 11.1 as well - just got released .....
Need to check this RE out .... always found the Quantec approach to reverb interesting.

I was just reading about Logic/Quantec earlier today, I guess I need to update – checking it out now! One obvious thing, the interface is WAY better than the hardware so a big plus there.
But to be totally honest, having worked on a QRS when it was first introduced (yes, I'm that old) I was never as impressed with the sound as with Lexicon and AMS or EMT reverbs of the day. It was way "rougher/coarser" sounding somehow.
Looking back, I was probably just expecting more realism – but what I missed was the creative applications (later used by folks like Peter Gabriel). For example, the Freeze feature was the first of its kind, IIRC although I preferred the PCM-70 freeze introduced a few years later.
If you're a fan of 80s music you'll probably recognize it right away, especially on drums.
In other news, it's 2024 and Logic Pro JUST added the ability to search for plugins by name, AND the ability to re-arrange mixer channels. So when folks talk about Reason being a bit 'behind', remember they are not the only ones playing some form of "catch up".
Reason has had both of these features since at least R6.0.

Hello,
We start this RE as two parts project
First of them is a QuantWave - simple in control, basic functional
Yes, here no Enhance and freeze, because RE present the core reverb part with some additions
But second we prepare is a Quantified thatcoming later, is bigger brother.
They are not the same, more controls, parameters, more time, modulations, depth and other things.
They have own possibilities in sound.
Don't worry, we make it in one price range and as bundle with discounts (crossgrade if you own one) because you can select or have both of them with own character.
QuantField at finish way, and later QuantWave must include optional additions
Ps: emt 140 plate-inspired RE we already have is PlateVerb RE in the shop. It’s a project dedicated to three models of 140 articulations modes, but with some optional additions (sat, autopan, chorus).
But if we talk about 80s drums, I’m love non-linear reverbs, (it’s our GateVerb RE) on drums (Phil Collins drums ))
