Are the Chords Seq Select Chord CV notes supposed to be random?

I was checking to see if the Select Chord output would follow the noted from my midi controller or just send out the Highest or Lowest note in the chord to control the noted of Drum Seq. Somehow it's neither. None of the CV notes match up with my midi controller or any notes in the chords. Is this by design or a glitch. Wanted to ask and see if it can be recreated before I submit a ticket.

Look at the 1st 4 notes at the bottom of DS compared to CV Analyzer(which match) but don't match the CS-Midi Controller layout of C1-D#2. Also, most of the notes aren't in the chords either.

The Select Chord Output doesn't have anything to do with the actual chord being played at that moment. What it does is use a CV value to activate the same one of the 16 Chord pads in another Chord Sequencer. For example, if the primary Chord Sequencer plays the first Chord pad in the second row from the top, the secondary Chord Sequencer will also play whatever chord is in that location. The purpose of this is to coordinate/synchronize two or more Chord Players.

That part I get. But the sequence of notes coming out don't make any sense. I just thought that they would consider someone using that signal for something other than another CS.

The CV coming out isn't 'notes'. It's a range of CV values that pertains to picking one of the 16 pads. The values aren't meant to be interpreted as notes.

There is the Root Note CV out, if you want a Note CV value that makes sense with the chord.
