Now if they would just make Players individually collapsible, I would be a happy camper.

Foldable panels in REs would be awesome. If it happens. Too bad it didn't happen years ago.

Man, I hear this! I hope RS hears it too. I love players, but I cannot stand the fact that RS left an individual folding option off of these devices. Makes absolutely no sense at all since all the other devices in the rack have folding capabilities (even 1U tall utility devices). It's nuts that they didn't put it on players (I still can't figure out why). Another way RS veered off course with players was by making them completely void of back panel CV (originally). Maybe they didn't foresee so many 3rd party player REs hitting the shop or they didn't foresee us users stacking 3, 4, 5, 6 players above an instrument. Whatever the reason, I hope they will resolve this issue and give us individually folding players. They could add these to all the players without having to bother the 3rd party developers or making changes to GUI. They could just put a fold button on the left side of the player, since there is a wide open space between the player and the rack.

Players are to MIDI what synthesizers are to waveforms.

Foldable players are really needed. They could just have a generic folded view per player with just the name.

Aside from that, another suggestion I had made is a selectable view. So you would have the option to choose via a dropdown a single player that you want to view in the chain, or All (the default). That would be in addition to another suggestion of player chain patch handling.

Not as optimal and efficient for workflow as individual player folding, but just an alternative idea.

Make them foldable and half-rackable in one click!

Folding players must be the most requested qol feature. I can definitely get behind that.

Yeah I found this part really interesting. I always thought folding wasn’t possible in the RE format, but he says that’s not the case.

And he says it’s a boring answer that he’s ashamed of.. but he didn’t really say why, but seemed to suggest that they just didn’t have time to implement it..?

No, the boring/ashamed part was referring to the fact that the RE format currently doesn't support partial panel folding.
So this will not be possible without updating the RE SDK.

Any chance you can put a bug in RS's ear to give us individually foldable players? I'm sick of having to scroll all the way up/down my player stack.
