RE's on external hard drive

Question is it possible to run Rack Extension's on a external hard drive so that I can free up some internal hard drive space?

Macbook Pro Mid 2012
macOS Catalina 10.15.7
2.3 GHz Quad Core Intel Core i7
16GB Ram 512 SSD
OWC Mercury Pro Elite Dual 8TB

So the answer is NO, man I love Reason but these are the little headaches that make you want to use another DAW...

It certainly won't help you, but I've been using an external SSD with symlink (on Windows 10) for a while now, and it works like a charm. Not sure why it wouldn't work on macOS (with aliases, if I understand correctly) since it pretty much works the same way.
