I couldn't tell if the remark about selling Algo for Objk was a joke.
Sure it is 100% possible. Reason Studios sell REs all the time. You just have to be RS to be able to do it.

Here's a microtonal version of the Vibraphone patch in https://en.xen.wiki/w/33ed4

The two are completely different synthesis methods. Algortitm is FM; Objekt is physical modelling. Sure, they both have "modifiers" in a sense but are so far different from one another, I'd say both are useful even though there may be some crossover in sound.thedjjudah wrote: ↑17 May 2023Does anyone think Objekt could replace Algoritm? Or rather, are there sounds that Algoritm could do that Objekt can't?

Man this thing sounds so good
Here's a little nod-out jam I put together very quickly - all Objekt, just a few tweaked presets and no external FX apart from a little ring mod on one percussion track and the Reason bus comp across the whole thing

Nice track! Object invites you to try immediately! I'm also working on songs right now that use object sounds exclusively. Let's see, maybe someone will write out a competition?

Objekt is possibly the most interesting synth I've seen to date, but I'll be glad when this marketing push for it has finally dropped off.

The "Celery and Wild Garlic" ambient track was recorded using ONLY sounds from Reason Studio's new modeling synthesizer. That was the self-imposed task! The track vernal Equinox by Jon Hassel from 1977 served as a reference piece.

Unbelievable.
Part of me wants to say you're lying

And it's very playable.

RECIPE:
One condenser mic
One pair of drum brushes
One tabletop of various household items to hit, strike, sweep, brush
OBJEKT
Computer music never felt so alive! I don't think I could ever just go back to MIDI drum patterns standalone.
Just scratching the surface. External in makes one single patch into thousands! Objekt is truly revolutionary!

I just experimented with Objekt in a feedback loop of The Echo. Interesting results, but there is a endless feedback loop when external sound has stopped. Not sure why...BEside this, quite interesting. ALso interesting to trigger Objekt at the same time with different notes and rhythms from sequencers...
Here is an example (the sound in the background comes from The Echo+Objekt): Next try: Combine Objekt with BV-X and it's Pitch Detection to modulate some pitch related parameters in Objekt... (this are the moments i miss some features like Pitch Detection in Objekt and a lot more Matrix slots...).
Edit: Ok, i got it. Looks like Objekt misses the Gate Off when a CV signal is connected.
