CV Contour is a mono channel Audio to CV converter with four separate, simultaneous functions for dynamic modulation within the Reason Rack.


Amplitude follower
Interpolate between ENV and RMS detection method
Attack and Release knobs for the ENV method
Release knob for the RMS method
Pre and Post gains
Interpolate between hard and soft clipping
Normal and inverted CV outs in the back panel

S&H
Clocked sample and hold
It takes a sample value from the incoming audio
Sample rate between 0.25-64Hz
Smoothing.
Gain control for amplifying quiet signals.
Clock resets when the sequencer starts.

LP
Lowpass filtered audio signal converted to a CV signal
Cutoff frequency between 10-100Hz
Gain control for amplifying quiet signals

ZCR
Zero cross rate detector
a quasi frequency follower
Reaction time
Noise floor knob for excluding noise from the detection
The CV output is normalized to CV Note values
