I've seen a couple mentions about the Randomizer being a global control so I made a super quick and dirty Quick Tip video to show people a way to "hide" modules from the Randomizer.

You can't automate the ribbon, per se, but you can record using it and it will automate all parameters it changes. It'll be a WHOLE bunch of automation tracks, but it does work. :geek:

Include lock icon on the opposite side of the modules.

Its a good workaround, but you cannot play and drag the randomize bar.
But a "lock" is a never ending story... The next wants it here, and others wants them there...

This is a good workaround.

The downside is you lose one of the best parts of the randomizer; which is hearing the changes in realtime as you drag, and releasing the click when you arrive at a sound you like. So this is still handy, but I agree that a lock feature would be great.
