What's wrong with Pulsar?

I like ZFO or Ammo (get it in the bundle) for simple tasks.

I can definitely recommend ammo100 for modulation and over the last few months I've been combining it with UTL Modifier to modulate the velocity of midi notes.

It's a really good device to have, it has a large selection of waveforms can be free running, triggered and modulated in a good number of ways. I use it on drums pitch decay etc as well as with UTL to make notes a bit more "human"

What are you doing with "notes"?

Using ammo CV to modulate the velocity via the combinator programming interface and UTL player, using different waveforms and speeds it can create some nice subtle changes in what starts out as 100% velocity 1 bar notes fed into something like Euclidian to the create rhythms for say an 8 bar chord progression.

It's quite fun building nice chains of players

I was going to do some videos on the tools and technique before we all went into lock down but at the moment my home isn't as quiet as normal which makes it a bit difficult due to the background noise or children as I like to call them

Little LFO is free and got 4 LFO's you can use, Pulsar got 2. For LFO job that needs to go SUPER slow i suggest LPCV which also is free.

For all simple tasks, LittleLFO.

For more complex shapes in a dedicated device, LectricPanda's Shape https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... fo-editor/ or ZFO 2.

Or, simply use the envelope designer in Europa, Sweeper or Grain, set to looping, to design the LFO shape you want. (Use CV out from the device to use the LFO for any task you like.)

I love Little LFO, and bought it before it became free. It's the one I reach for whenever I want an external LFO (and generally when I want to set up a rate-LFO'd LFO.) :)
I write acid music in Reason and perform live on a bunch of machines without computers.

One thing about LittleLFO is that the oscillators will go to audio rate (even if the CV standard can't) and it can be used as an audio oscillator module.

Just a quick update, the second device I talked about has just been made free.
URL Modifier.
It's not an lfo but it's a handy utl.
