Exactly ! That « touch » slider is a great tool for expressiveness (which makes DX FM unique for me, with a very distinct sound).
PX7 - Removed from Shop?
Such a shame the PX7 has now been taken off the shop, was only looking at it the other day, that, and the the Izotope mastering tool.
I only delayed my purchase due to wanting to spend some time with Complex-1 to make use of it's own FM function before taking the leap to purchase, having owned a DX 27, which was my first proper synth (sorry Bontempi, I did love you too).
Would be nice if they could give us a last chance to buy the RX7, maybe a week long fire sale or, give us a clue as to what may be coming so I don't feel so butt-hurt about it. =)

Nope. PX7 is a Rack Extension, and as such it's guaranteed to run on every future version of Reason.
I think its removal is more likely due to a legal issue of some sort.
It's interesting to note that the A-Lists and PX7 were the only RS RE's not to be included in Reason 11 Suite (please correct me if I'm wrong).
Maybe there really is a new version coming out. If I remember correctly there were a few flaws with the original, including the issue with many of the parameters not being available for automation.
I'm not aware of RS licensing any of the code used in PX7. If its a legal issue maybe its a trademark issue but Yamaha have never bothered NI about FM7.
The A-List RE's were made by UJAM. It seems they were withdrawn in favour of the VST versions which might be getting version 2 updates in future.
Acoustic Guitarist = UJAM Amber,
Fingerpicking Nylon - A-List Guitarist = UJAM Silk,
Pop Chords A-List Electric Guitarist = UJAM Sparkle,
Power Chords A-List Electric Guitarist = UJAM Iron

Yeah I think that's what they would do so doubt it's getting an update but you never know.

More than likely included in a point update or the next version of Reason. As I said in another thread, they held it back out of Suite. They didn’t stop selling it. I think they’ve had it in their back pocket to use as a future purchase incentive.

So when they put it in the (possible) point update folk don’t go “damn you to hell propellerheads. I bought it using my rewards points yesterday and now I can’t use them to buy that stupid blue Softube thing “

I forgot about the SDK v1's limitations. Good point.SebAudio wrote: ↑17 Jan 2021The very 1st REs were to be « hw like » with everything on 1 screen because panels and graphical displays were not provided by the RE SDK v1
However, setting of envelopes is a pain with PX7 and I’d not be opposed to have them « à la » Europa. Same with key scaling setting.

That’s good. When in doubt...be doubtful.

PX7's FOMO market is up. May crash and burn in a few days.

I think you're right, Bitley. Must be something like an expired license. When Line 6 was acquired by Yamaha back then, the Line 6 Amps were removed from Reason in a similar fashion, but at least they've announced it in advance.
A while ago, Reason Studios' Matthias has mentioned somewhere in this forum that they couldn't put PX7 into the Reason Reason 11 Suite Bundle, which indicates that it was because of license issues. But anyway, I hope that Reason Studios is working on a mighty successor of PX7. Let's see.

I still think it's going to be back in the shop on Monday as if nothing happened. I want to be wrong if it means PX8 or Reason 11.5 or something is about to be unveiled! But my money is still on a store issue that will be corrected after the weekend.

The most active Sunday on Reason Talk thanks to px7.
I'm with the store error or the licensing issue. For whatever reason the other hypotheses sound like wishful thinking to me.
