Rack extension request: An "advanced" Janitor CV Shaper

It's Black Friday and I wanna treat myself. Any recommendations for essentially what would be an advanced version of Janitor CV Shaper?I like Janitor, but I wish I could change the shape (or "skew") of the attack and release. I have Shape, which is awesome, but it takes me too long to dial in envelopes. Any recommendations?
Did yo ualready tried all this stuff here?

And btw, you can always try a compressor, LPG or a LPF to smooth a signal, you just need to convert the CV->audio and than back from audio->CV.

I played around with this one trying to recreate what they are after, but it wasn't really that effective, only managing to give some okay results within a very limited range, but out of all the CV devices I tested, envelope generator devices were the best at pulling this off.Loque wrote: ↑30 Nov 2020tbh, i didnt played around with them as much as i should have done. Whilst it's not exactly an "advanced" Janitor, Murf's Modrack ADSR will give you great control over the shape of your CV signal, more so than Janitor I found in shaping the attack and release. It's also free to download. I don't have any other envelope devices so maybe you can explore and demo some from the store and see if they perform better or come with more features you'd like. I think EG's are technically the best you'll get at processing an incoming CV signal, otherwise Shape or anything else that lets you create your own custom curve will probably let you get more precise results.
(edit: Just tested Europa and you can route the envelopes in there out using the mod matrix, which lets you very easily generate and modify custom CV signals too)
hello,
i am not a cv person
however, might the KRON RE be helpful?

PSDN might do the trick. Similar to Kron (same dev) but focused on envelopes rather than LFOs.

If I already didn’t have tons of CV REs I’d buy this one!

What you are really after is a "Slew".
I don't know of any that give you real control in Reason however you can get some nice "Slew" modules in Voltage Modular, pick up the free version and I would highly recommend Andrew Macaulay's Ultimate Bundle, only $30 for so many wonderful modules including a Slew, notes from the description.

I would also highly recommend getting Robtic Bean's CV-I and CV-O devices to convert audio-CV-audio, yes you could use Thor however there are limitations with that.

more info here...A flexible Voltage-Controlled Slew Processor that offers control over the slew up (rise) and slew down (fall) stages, rise/fall/both modes, flexible log or linear slopes, voltage control over the slew times, gated slewing (with inverted gate support, so slew can be legato only or staccato only) and output triggers from the start and end of the slews. The signal input defaults to the Pitch panel input when no jack is connected, simplifying patches when this is the use.

Use the envelope shaper in Sweeper (Europa works too, but Sweeper has an audio in trigger which is super handy).. That is great for shaping and routing CV for things like ducking and dynamic EQ. I run that into Janitor for scale control (and fine tuning attack times). Frame CV is another good RE. I to found Shaper just a bit too time consuming for me for drawing curves.
isnt it somehow different from other CV REs ? because it gives you some control over the tune scals and notes that are playing at the moment . I had an impression that it does what MIDI-CV does but with greater control and detail ? because like you I think I have enough CV REs but this looks good after I watched its video in the shopMannequinRaces wrote: ↑30 Nov 2020If I already didn’t have tons of CV REs I’d buy this one!
