Yet another incidence of RS stupid “only four new arrivals showing at a time”. Basically if a dev release something it gets pushed out of the new arrivals section immediately 4 new devices arrive.

Might come handy from time to time. Would be more useful with labels.

Reference tracks is the method I use to not let my hearing damage interfere with my unending stream of #1 Hit Rekkords.
This will be useful. And it's free.

Yes, it's an unnecessary limitation. They could easily allow for a couple of rows, or whatever, to showcase all the new arrivals. Also, the fact taht updated REs get pushed to the new arrivals section is questionable, unless it's a major update like the recent Black Knight or Sequences updates. But an update that just fixes a bug should be bumped to the new arrivals section.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the OP topic ha ha ha... looks like it could be useful and the price is right, what's not to like? Labels would be helpful, sure, but I can't complain about free. Thank you Red Rocks Sound!

Double Edit: Looks like this was my 2000th post on RT! Woo hoo... where the hell are my balloons and confetti?

Nice, thanks for the heads up! I can see this being good for comparing RE's/VST's too.

I just installed, it only took 35 minutes!! the Authorizer has been horrible to deal with lately, that's ridiculous to have to wait that long!

Now that you brought it up, it did take an unusually long time to install.

bwah ha ha ha

After installing the soviet spyware.... I think I prefer using pongasoft's free 12 channel A/B switch. The only thing it's missing is the mono button. But you can adjust volume, run the switches via CV and enable more than one channel at a time. I'm not sure that I will ever use this Red Rocks device; I'm probably going to uninstall it. But thanks for the free RE, all the same!

No, it doesn't.

It looks like iPad app, which makes sense because they've been porting their devices - that got RE face-lift recently - to iOS. And just like with Ujam devices, I don't like this.

I know what you mean, but - respectfully - I disagree.
There's certain visual design language that REs should follow to look consistently.

To give an example from both Ujam and Red Rock. Those 2 do not, IMO:

Reference 5 looks like the Master Section in Reason, at least I was inspired by its design, and the large buttons are adjusted so that a person with poor vision does not look at this the buttons through a magnifying glass

honestly, I like the way it looks. simple looking can still be appealing.

the idea that a plugin *should* adhere to some arbitrary visual standard is kind of baffling. why *should* any one person's aesthetic preferences limit what a developer must do?

Btw, iOS Users praise our plugins very much.
You give Reason Users a free device, they again don't like something - a paradox

However, I developed Reference 5 for myself, and decided to share with you, for me this utility is ideal for comparing plugins, balance and volume of audio material

No, I don't mean it like that, nor that I claim to have superior taste or anything. But if Reason's rack is meant to be a virtual hardware studio, then the devices should resemble real hardware, sort of like a lot of video games go for "stylised reality" (think Uncharted or Gears of War). Just look at Reason Studios' own devices to see what I mean - they all (perhaps except for Scenic's "front page") follow that principle and therefore they look consistent in the Rack. I know most people don't care about it, but I do.

I just liked Red Rock's "old school" design a lot more. That's it :)
