VK-2 Legato and glide

I have a stupid question as I can't for the life of me figure out to do this. How can I set the Legato mode in VK-2 so it acts in the same way as the Subtractor, where Glide/Portamento is only applied when a note is held. The envelopes are both set to Legato and it is the same in both Mono and Modular modes: Glide is always applied regardless of whether it is a new or held note.

There is no auto mode in VK-2. Glide is always on when enabled.
