I use Slice Arranger all the time. It is in my drums insert chain effects.
It is great in combination with Matrix or any CV device which let's you quantize to Bar when Dry/Wet knob is engaged.
Great for live performances. Similar to Roland Scatter effect on TR-8.
That's good to know. Thank you for commenting. Perhaps I'll reinstall and give it a go.. Care to upload an example for us?
That’d be good. I seem to remember you couldn’t sync in a good few of these REs which made it difficult to get decent results.

I would like them to be good and useful, but all I ever got out of the Sugarbytes REs was frustration and dissatisfaction. I was like Mick Jagger, minus the moves.
Players are to MIDI what synthesizers are to waveforms.

Ok, here is example Combi patch.
I use it by turning on "Repeat" button at the end of desired phrase for one bar only.
Timing is similar to launching 1 bar quantized clips in Ableton Live.
It is not perfect but does the trick for me :)

I removed EQ and Sweeper from following patch so try if it will load.

That combi is totally excellent. Put it on a drum'n'bass loop and absolutely loved it. Maybe that RE isn't totally useless after all. Good work.

Maybe we should have a Sugar Bytes RE challenge hahaha :)

Happy to hear you guys enjoy it.
I only use Slicer Arranger RE now but I think all Sugar Bytes RE's shine when used for live performance.

Since most of us have at least one of the REs, this can be an interesting one. :)

I asked them for the manuals a good while ago. Some of them are not linked from the RE shop any more, but everything is still online, if anyone is interested. :)

http://downloads.sugar-bytes.de/manuals ... hDelay.pdf

http://downloads.sugar-bytes.de/manuals ... alizer.pdf
http://downloads.sugar-bytes.de/manuals ... ylizer.pdf
http://downloads.sugar-bytes.de/manuals ... odizer.pdf

(The algorithms in their REs are interesting, just not as straight forward compared to their Effectrix or Turnado VST)

You breathed some life into this thread with that Slice Arranger patch. It's a damn fine patch. I'm going to keep Slice Arranger installed in my rack now, and I'll be using your patch to make fills. I only tried it on a DrRex drum loop, haven't yet tried it on any other instruments. But it sounds amazing. Thank you for sharing that patch with us and redeeming at least one of these REs.

It may be worth giving the other REs some attention. You resurrected this one for me. If you come across any more great ways to use the other SB REs, I'd love to hear them and see a patch/example. Thanks again, lowtom!

Exactly. It’s like a glitcher and beat repeater all rolled into one with more surprises (basically because it’s so hard to easily predict what the patterns on the RE are going to do). Be great to find uses as good as this one for the other SB REs.
