Hi all,

In the RDK operation manual, the keyboard layout for keys D#4 and E4 (alt hi-hats) are marked as "POLY"; what does "POLY" mean?

The RDK refill manual is a bit more descriptive: keys D4, D#4 and E4 are marked as Op 1 Poly, Op 2 Poly and Op 3 Poly respectively. "Op" must be "open", but what's "poly"?

I look forward to this esoteric bit of knowledge being shared with the masses, or me at least.

Thank you.

Pete

I guess the poly means that the sounds will ring out and not be cut off from a new trigger or a closed HH. it might also be code for poly recordings (aka round robins).

Yes, that seems to be right -- I've just checked and they do continue to ring when another hi-hat is struck.

Thank you!
