Props have raised the price of Polar.
Nah. I just opened the Shop page and there it was.

Grab it quick, before the price drops and it's not worth as much.

Wow, that's a hefty increase.
Reason Studio's 11.3 / Cockos Reaper 6.82 / Cakewalk By Bandlab / Orion 8.6

shows as $69 for me—either it’s region-specific, or they’ve fixed it.
also, has it always been $69? I feel like I remember paying $100 for it.
well, whether I paid $100, or $70 for it, it was a mistake for me.

I was just thinking about it today. Im going to break out the echo into it for a pitch shifted delay. Then maybe run an envelope follower into some parameters and trigger that from something else.
Yeah, I haven't used it as much as I thought I would. It barely gets any use anymore. I'm not sure what it is about it, but I just don't use it. I think it might have to do with the latency.
But my biggest mistake as far as Prop RE's is Rotar. It's great if you want to instantly make your track sound like mud.
yep. it’s not very intuitive to use, and doesn’t sound all that great, but hey, at least it’s ugly!
I got Polar for free direct from the Props years ago (they gave it away on this forum) and I've used it maybe twice. Maybe.
do you have Reason 11 Suite? pretty sure it’s included in that.
There are some really creative things you can use a pitch shifter for, so don't totally dismiss Polar!

I’ve been using pitch shifters for years. every effects unit I’ve had in the last 10 years or so has had at least some kind of pitch shift that I’ve taken advantage of. my favorite is the updated Whammy pedal. I don’t think most of us have anything against pitch shifters. Polar just doesn’t rank for me (and I guess a few others). there are way better options elsewhere to get what you need (hell, even just adjusting the clip tuning in the sequencer is a good option), that’s all.

You can't Whammy or feedback or wobble with the clip tuning, but I do love it for octave doubles.guitfnky wrote: ↑08 Jun 2020I’ve been using pitch shifters for years. every effects unit I’ve had in the last 10 years or so has had at least some kind of pitch shift that I’ve taken advantage of. my favorite is the updated Whammy pedal. What was Polar supposed to "clone"? The H3000? Then it's pretty cheap
