Easy as hell. Trial it then usually, for the most part, can decide within the first 5 minutes if I like it or not.

I don’t think it could get any easier. Maybe Authorizer doing its thing faster and maybe an option for Reason to automatically open when Authorizer is done but that’s it.

It's very easy in my opinion. And fast.

Only thing that could make it easier is Authorizer being a manager tool WITHIN Reason. This way we don't always have to shop online. We can browse the RE in the DAW and 'install' Reason. I think sales would jump 100x over for the convenience of visit the store on demand.

It's been great since the beginning. Genius idea and it all works very smoothly.

It's easy to do and has saved me a fortune over the years. You get to try the latest hyped thing and learn that it is mostly over-hyped!

Biggest disappointments have been Evolution and ScaleMatrix. Some people love them, I didn't.

You get so many toys as standard with Reason you really don't need much else. So I trial new things and I think "Oh, just another wavetable synth" or "Oh, it's just another compressor". And then I don't buy them. These days I don't trial most new things. I've got some quality VSTs and more REs than I will ever fully understand. It can get overwhelming. But you should try them for yourself. That's what the trial is for.

Or, and I don't mean this in a rude way, you should make some music with the stuff you already have. You just need to get stuck in. There is always loads of hype for new stuff on this forum. It's easy to get sucked into it.

I think they got it just right.
If you buy a RE that's not for you, it's on you.

The only big issue I have with the store is why it hasn't been built in Reason already
Something like Steam + 2FA
A lot of people are using online verification (I use the stick from Record), but why not go all the way.
Beside the personal evaluation of any tool's usefulness, or lack thereof, the store is really great.
Installing RS Suite was painless (and somewhat fun), while watching yt, shopping on Amazon, and visiting my favorite forum in the world.

Zero problems.
Easy.
Happy.

Now in contrast I have to go and install yet another centralized hub for another VST publisher. It never ends (but kinda better than the old days I guess?)

I haven't trialed a RE for well over a year, TBH nothing has really jumped out at me as REmania has slowed down since VST.

The way i look at it is you could test a RE with a subscription and test quite a few for 10 bucks at one time and still have the freebie trial if u need it.

Or if u used a trial and didnt have time or understand the RE when u initially tried you can still demo it again under subscription if it makes sense.

They're incredibly convenient.

One store to trial any device on it without having to download the trial from the developer's site, sign up with their store, install their copy protection, and then hope the BSOD gods grant you the serenity to use the device without having to restart your computer.

I've finally downloaded ColouringEQ to trial (seems a no-brainer purchase at £44, but why not try it first?)

Would be uber awesome if I didn't have to restart Reason, but I really can't complain ...

I agree with all the praise posted above. It's mostly been a positive experience.

My only complaint is with Authorizer/Code Meter and the amount of time it takes to update the licenses, at times. Most of the time it blasts thru 0-100% in a few seconds, as it should, and that is great. There are some terrible times, however, when it just drags on forever, and then eventually times out with an error. I have been trying to d/l my trials of a few REs the past couple of days and getting nothing but errors. It's really frustrating. It's taken hours and hours.... days even. I'm not sure what the deal is, but sometimes it's so slow.

Other than that, I use my Reason Dongle and have one computer Authorized, so the REs that I own (not in beta or on trial) will load up with or without an Internet connection.
