I am so new at this, but my favourite so far would be MODRACK VCO, the rest just flowed from that.
I think my next RE will be my favourite, it is a simple take on some standard effects, in a modular 2U (or maybe 3U) rack that has UI similarities to the effects in Kong, Thor and ModularRE
Murf.

Do I count even though I didn't write any code? If so, Europa's still number one—especially in terms of how often I use it. Complex-1 is a close second because I like that experimental way of working.

Why don't you guys do a vlog series with developers where they get a chance to talk about their favourite devices that they've created and how they use em? Theres always a secret trick under the hood only devs truly comprehend and take full advantage of...

* Edited since I can only pick one.

Right now I'm leaning towards Morningstar. I just enjoy the workflow and the simplicity about it. The legato mode is better, knobs follow curves for a better feel. It's hard to make it sound bad, but there's a matrix too so go nuts.
Obviously I'm already dreaming up the next project. But that will take some time :)

Thanks for all the great work, Skrock! Products are amazing. I'm been slowly buying them all. Nautilus & Nautilus 2 sound so heavy. I also really enjoy working with Thermal and Orbis. Love how unique Poltergeist and Iridium Distortion are, too. Argonaut and Solar 5 are next on the list and I'm def looking into Morning Star now. Much appreciated.

Incredible work, man! Thank you. ES01sounds so rich and epic. Bought the ES101and ES400, too. I really appreciate all the design similarities across all three synths. Makes the work flow easy. The TE TapeEcho and ES204 are also top quality from sound to design! Filter Chain X8187 and Vintage Filter Suite will be the next purchase. Appreciate you.

I've only made one as Ekssperimental Sounds Studio, the ES01 which I love and use all the time for lo-fi/analog/retro synth sounds. Really happy for the extensive routing possibilities of the mod matrix , specially to be able to control PW with envelope, offset sub oscillator to make it a slightly detuned dual osc or to make sounds with added 5th - harmonics etc..

For the work I've done with Robotic Bean I think my personal favourite is Sequences, also use it a lot!

Obsession:
https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... obsession/

For two reasons, the plugin as such, and secondly it is technically our best RE port (the UI was much more challenging to port than in other plugins) :)

I really enjoy stuff from Ochen K. Specialised tools are perfect for Reason. And I love to tinker. The GClip Waveshaper was a welcome addition as well, it's been around in other circles and does what it does. Seligs stuff feels stupid to even mention, It's well designed with good tutorials and are helpful tools.

I know this thread is about our own REs but I don't think any developer here, atleast as an independent would not appreciate the progress that has been made since day one. I still remember the early days fondly

Just bought Pulse and I love it, man! Impressive and intuitive workflow. Also just noticed that you built Auryn64 , too. Is there any more on info this RE that you could share? The link to the product site points back to the shop page. Thanks.

Yes, I release music from time to time on Auryn64's label, so the manager approached me about an idea for a synth. There was a few iterations before I was satisfied with the finished project. It started very basic, just a VA synth but designed for synthwave. In the end I looked at Vangelis, Jarre and other countless artists, so I decided to cover a wide range of synth "eras". So, selecting a waveform on the Oscillator is more of selecting a style: Saw to Square | Square to PWM | Sync | Organ.. etc.

As for the filter KBD modes, here's how that works. If you select "Oscillator Pitch", the keytracking of the filter follows the individual pitch of each oscillator, so a different cutoff (point) for each osc. This is handy for many things, doing formant filter, organs and more. If you select "Fixed Point", every oscillator follows a fixed point, the cutoff is at the same position for every oscillator, this is how an analog synth using analog filters typically behaves.

Thank you for the Pulse love :) I wanted more square (lol) in my life and thats how that whole thing started, odd harmonics needs love too

I'm surprised that you have not mentioned Kraft anywhere you your threads, that is my favourite Skrock synth but I do like them all, Orbis was another one that tickled my fancy...

Kraft is definitely one of my favorites, the amount of tracks I got out of it just for doing demos was insane.
Check out this old version of the GUI, one of the fun things I plan to do on streams, going trough the process.

This is a very early version of Kraft

Woaah! Love the warm red visual language. Really enjoy reading these stories and seeing some of the behind the scenes process, too :geek:

Yeah, man!! Betamax Pooh Bear vibes. Look you can even see the PB :geek:
Give it up to PB on all the those patches, too! They're always fire.
Kraft is def next on the buy list for me, then Horizons or The Synthwave Plugin.
Peace to the core, earth and sun.

I’ve only released one rack extension so I guess it would have to be Spectra. Without an ounce of exaggeration It was the hardest thing I’ve ever attempted and it almost got the better of me but I ended up slaying that dragon. Thanks to everyone involved in the testing and sound design. Dare mighty things.

Obviously I'm already dreaming up the next project. But that will take some time :)
Bought it this weekend and I now see why this is your fave, man! Love the contrast this synth has to the Skrock line up. Can spend hours on this

This makes me very happy! :-) There's been so much progress in the little things that isn't obvious just from looking at it. I really like that you can Lock or use one ADSR amp per osc, just great for pads.

Here's Morningstar + SMFX Dual Saturator

I'd be happy to answer any in depth questions about Morningstar over at the main thread also, Like how a Constant can be used as a controller in the Matrix for settings not on the main rack interface etc viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7519861 :)
