I'm trying to see if there's a RE which acts as an interrupter or a mute switch for CV signals, specifically for note and gate information. What I mean is, you put it in the middle of the chain between a sequencer device (in this case a PSQ1684 which is an amazing and beautiful machine) and the instrument, and at some point you press an on/off button to either mute or unmute in the incoming signal so the instrument starts or stops playing.
I'm sure I've seen something like this but I've searched through all the cv devices in the shop and can't see anything there. I know there's about 100 of these in VCV Rack though so possibly I'm getting confused.
Otherwise maybe there's something I can use to hack with? I've looked at a couple of the devices which use knobs to control and shape the level of the incoming level of the signal, thinking I could do a quick 100-0 to mute and 0-100 to unmute, but as far as I can see they all seem to be splitters as well. All I want is a simple input -> mute/unmute -> output.
Thanks and hope everyone reading this is keeping well. I'm in New Zealand on a minimum of a month long lockdown so, yeah, productivity time.
cv on/off switch device, is there one....
I think you can use this.

It is free.
It's what I do. Cabling on port 1. Then selecting another port when I want to 'mute' CV/Gate signals.

one way you may wish to try is to hook up your instruments using the free CVPT device from lectric panda.

You can also use pongasoft A/B Audio & CV Switch (https://pongasoft.com/rack-extensions/ABSwitch.html). It is free. You can simply connect only one of the CV input, the other one is empty and then you simply press the A/B toggle to toggle between your signal (on) and no signal (off).

You could also use Thor to build one. But I think the options posted above are easier and make more sense.
Most of the wonderful free Hamu devices can be used for CV switching: https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/brow ... loper=Hamu
