For those who never used it, it's a filter plugin that has a built-in syncable LFO that let's you make incredibly great filter effects like "wah-wah"s and other nice sounds.

Is there something similar in the Reason realm?
Fruity Love Philter alternative ?
Reason12, Win10
Oh, if a syncable LOF on a filter is the only usecase you have and you think you need a dedicated filter for that, you really need to look deeper into Reason...
Just hook up any LFO of your choice to any filter of your choice and you are done.
Reason12, Win10
I'm actually looking for a specific nice effect inside the love philter which might be possible to replicate manually in Reason as you guys are referring but it can be done simply by selecting the effect in the plugin and the sound algorithm is perfectly synced with tempo making the effect sound computerized (in a good way)
Effect starts at 1:00 and ends 1:15 (in case link doesnt take you there immediately)
Sounds like a quick modulated frequency of a LPF. Maybe there is an additional envelope follower which scales the modulation signal. Can be done quite easily in Reason. You need a filter, a envelope follower and a LFO. To get started i would use Pulverizer, which has the LFO and the envelope follower build in. Put the LFO -> Filter and Follower -> LFO. And you are done. For additional scaling and mangling you just need to grab them on the backside and put a multiplied/scaled signal into the Filter cutoff. You can use Thor or maybe one of the following (others available, but some are a bit complicated or i just forgot them):
* https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... arametrix/
* https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... volt-cb-1/
* https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... processor/
* https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... -splitter/
* https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... ine-mixer/
* ...
and yes, Reason is often a DIY modular rack big bang and thats why i can only recommend to understand it, before you pay lots of money for expensive devices and that is it what makes Reason really great, you can go very deep and create your own within seconds.
Reason12, Win10
Can't thank you enough for your input Loque! Just so you know the effect used in love philter is the one I selected, "PC lowpass + phaser" (no clue what "PC" stands for, tried looking it up but nothing found..)Loque wrote: ↑16 Jan 2020Sounds like a quick modulated frequency of a LPF. I'm sorry for going off-topic, but I wrote a post in "tuts & techniques" asking if someone knows any good tuts of Reason's back panel..any ideas ?
Thx so much
You can do what i did back in the time: Just sit there, closed the door and played 2 days around with the cables, synths and fx to find out what is happening here.Busta US wrote: ↑16 Jan 2020Can't thank you enough for your input Loque! Or you can have a look at Hydlide's stuff. Even if he left Reason he has some good tutorials, especially for CV stuff. There is probably a lot of content about it and you might get lost. And remember, there are also audio cables on the backside...

Here are a few tutorials i found while looking for Envelope Follower (like Scream4 has also an Envelope Follower on the back ):

As you can see, there is already a lot of stuff in the forum available.

oh man, you are an OG in this game aren't you Def the best way to learn you are right. My lazy ass will not last 10 minutes offline before I search in forums and youtube
