I'm buddies with Illformed - I'll let him know Not sure he'll want to code an RE tho :\Melody303 wrote: ↑22 Sep 20191. Illformed Glitch as an RE. Key points: Good effects, good sequencer for said effects, good randomizers for each effect individually, all of them at once, and/or their sequence.
2. Pianoteq as an RE, with CV control over all parameters.
3. More algorithmic reverb engines. Ones based on Big Sky, ones based on Black Hole, ones based on Erbe Verb, and new otherworldly ones.

In the 90s, my midi music was on the Baulder's Gate site. That was my life peak.

RE harmor +1
certain aspects could be done!!!!
to add to this. a RE serum
maybe not with all the additive menu options, but at least with the cool filters, nice sounding warp modes, and loadable wavetables

A simple looper with high-quality timestretching with 16 slots with sync to bpm would be pretty cool. Kind of like Octo-Rex but drag a wav file instead.

That could be something they incorporate into a Dr.Octo.Rex 2?djadalaide wrote: ↑23 Sep 2019A simple looper with high-quality timestretching with 16 slots with sync to bpm would be pretty cool. Kind of like Octo-Rex but drag a wav file instead.

Thanks! Its basically a dynamic, amplitude based dry/wet knob for any send effect.
So lets say you pass a piano through it with a reverb unit as the send effect. As you play louder on the piano, more of the reverb channel would get cross-faded in with it.
I think there would be a lot of creative uses for it! Here is the flowchart for anyone interested:

Guitar feedback / sustain. I feel like it ought to be possible in the rack with current components but never achieved it.
I'd add a pattern abcd 1-8 for the dual arpeggiator just like matrix seq
So that we could switch arpp patterns on the fly and automate it.

I had a couple of ideas for REs, inspired by some classic synths, before we got VST support. Not necessarily faithful clones though (especially not Zeus, which is more like a Juno/Jupiter bastard). Also, OB-Xr and ZEUS are more like variations of a theme.
Just to be completely clear, there's absolutely zero chance that these will come to fruition.
