[SOLVED] Unknown RE wants internet access

Hi,

i'm using the authorizer drive with reason and have all my licences on it, at least thats what i thought. im having this problem a few days now that one or some REs need internet access to function.

i don't want to use "Sync all" because some REs i own i don't want to be installed. Also i'm not Running any Trials atm.

what could be the issue behind this?



it would be very good to see exactly which REs demanding this on the promt, and also (as a few others already posted in the request forum) the possibillity to select which REs getting synced with the "sync all" Buttom

You can check if you're beta testing/trialing any REs by going to this page https://www.propellerheads.com/user/rackextensions and seeing if any of your REs have a "expiration date". This used to be shown in red text, but I'm not sure that's still the case as they've recently redesigned a lot of the website.

You can also selectively sync and download RE's from that page if you aren't aware.

thanks for the reply. yes i know i can selectively sync my res.

i think i found the problem, but im not sure if its the only reason its not working. will try it with some older REs i currently have not on the authorizer.
but atm when i install any RE from "Le Note Live Software" that i own(Select Program, Out Gate Note, Player Recieve Notes) i get the promt.

Re-Sync the ones you think are causing the problem. The authoriser sometimes fails to write the licences correctly. No idea why.

thanks guys. just sorted it out.

tried multiple times to re-sync the single REs that i got newest. nothing worked.

then i took a brave click an synced all REs. Finally the Licences got written to Authorizer and everything worked fine.


this is not very convinient. i hope props do something regarding this "problems". i imagine guys with big lists of filesize heavy REs got a problem when this happens.

Sznc All only downloads those REs not installed on the system (download can be cancelled) then Authorizer updates the licence file. So RE size is not really an issue in this case.

yes all good. good to know that "sync all" is not as dangerous as i thought it is.
