Is there anyway to record the generated patterns from PSQ into the sequencer? Say, if I hook it up to another instrument, can the midi be recorded from that instrument to the sequencer so you can then edit it.

I feel like maybe there is a device that could make it possible, I've played with sending the patterns to an ext. midi device and routing that back in. Maybe it's not possible with Reason and it only records incoming midi from a controller?

These are must have devices for cv patching. Put one of these bad boys on top of your intrument and plug the cv/gate note table into its input rather than the instrument's gate/cv input.... then press 'send notes to track'.

You dont need either of these for basic send notes to track . If its a single cv gate/note selectiion just put your instrument into a combinator. then plug the cv/gate from psq into the inputs of the combinator instead of the instrument. Throw any palyer device on top of your instrument thats inside the combinator and turn the player device off. Then press send notes to track on the player device (thats switched off)

Thank you! I didn't think to use CV Player Tap, that worked perfectly. I did manage to get it working by setting my IAC Drivers as a control surface and sending gate/cv into an ext. midi device, but using CV Player Tap is infinitely more simple, once again it surprises me with just how useful it ends up being. :D

In my opinion CVPT is one of the best and most useful utilities (players?) ever. A debt of thanks to the Panda.
