There is a free rack extension that acts as an "Instrument" so it can be used to tap cv/gate outputs directly from player output polyphonically.

Its the cv thru outputs, you don't need to use the funky stuff.
I thought i would share this info as some people might not be aware of its existence
Tapping cv/gate directly from players
Isn't it the same as using CV Player tap https://www.propellerheads.com/shop/rac ... layer-tap/ ?

CV Player tap requires an instrument to be present as do all players, this is handy if you just want the cv/gate to further process before going to any instrument(s) or other cv manipulation devices.mon wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019Isn't it the same as using CV Player tap https://www.propellerheads.com/shop/rac ... layer-tap/ ?
For example.. try dragging a player without an instrument present.. Its a pain but thats the way it works
RPG-8 does this if you turn off the arpeggiator portion.
Edit:
Whoops, you can't put players on top of RPG-8. Apologies..

Ivy will not create a mix channel, but you can also use Rob Papen attention as a dummy in a player stack. Attention does create a mix channel if needed. My guess it is a very low CPU instrument, but you have to disconnect the audio wires when it auto wires.
Would actually be nice to have an instrument that does noting, creates a mix channel (if applicable), no auto wiring, and is called "Dummy".

You could also use an empty combinator perhaps? Then it's using virtually no CPU. Or maybe even an EMI?

I tend to build entire songs in a combinator these days, so that option is already out for mechimp_spanner wrote: ↑09 Jun 2019You could also use an empty combinator perhaps? Then it's using virtually no CPU. Or maybe even an EMI?
