Sounds like the speaker models have some mechanical noise modeled...voice coil movement? It's sounds realistic!

I find the name a bit confusing. Matchlock sounds like it'd be an emulation of the Matchless amps.

Wasn't that an American detective show starring Andy Griffith?

I am so on this thing!

Hi guys, here a few tones for download!
David’s tones are a milestone for each guitar player!
It was a great experience, working on these 5 tracks.
Best regards,
Dimi

Are Kuassa any closer to fixing that Bypass bug in their amps Dimi?

I’ll start by saying I love Kuassa. I’ve got every single one of their REs except Kratos and use ‘em more than anything else in my Rack. I really thought Matchlock would be an insta-buy but unfortunately, and this is only my opinion mind, this amp just isn’t doing it for me (at the moment in any case). I guess I’ll plug on with it and give it more of a chance and I hope this doesn’t put anybody off but I guess everyone’s opinion is valid positive or negative. I can’t put my finger in why I don’t like it just now but...nah. Hope others do though because Kuassa are best.

Kuassa rules IMHO, but it often takes me a while to unlock the amp sims, to see what Kuassa pedals work well in front and behind of. My secret (because I am known for my guitar skillz) is to keep the gains pre 12:00.
P.S. I am not known for my guitar skillz, more like for my ReasonTalk posting skillz. At which I am a black belt. HACHA!!!

Yep. The gains. Max 10.30
I don’t know why but Kuassa amps have got a background buzz on a lot of settings. The Softube one don’t. That said, I never use the Softube ones.

I hear ya. I'm using old Fender single coil gits so it's almost expected.
The built in noise gates on the amps that have them, work well for me. I was surprised, I used them for a Niles Rogers style riddum part with the Cali and I got what I was hoping for. That said, I'm checking out the Matchlock noise gate which is doing some weird stuff.

The noise gates are really necessary. I gave Matchlock another try today and I’m now certain I won’t be buying it. I’ve got a Fender Hotrod Deluxe and love it. Unfortunately I’m not liking Matchlock in the slightest which is a shame as I am a big Kuassa fan. Oh well.

Guys, the noise is quite normal. I'm enjoying an old 1984 Japan made Fender and after many years having real amps and many pedals over the years its normal to have amp self noise and buzz. Of course keep in mind it all depends on the position where you seat and what else is connected in your studio room. I have a lot of led lamps and some are a big pain in the .... Changed to better brands and now its almost silent. Also, shielded the Strat with foil and now its quite normal single coil noise.
The plugin itself without anything connected to my audio interface is almost silent. Well the his when the bright switch is engaged is also normal.
Plugin my humbucker Ibanez and its dead silent!

Dimi :)

Involving the chronic, several bottles, one lost week etc.

Who'm I kidding? Take my money!
