Phonetic question

LoveOne Phonetic. Pretty cool. Says midi input gives a crackle sound. Among the ring ringtones and stuff the only crackle noise I can get is a very short click. Is there any way to get a continuous crackle?
Create new note lane then just play and record fast clicks?

Edit: running the cursor up and down the piano roll while recording in edit mode works too
