Hi

Just a quick question with drum sequencer. I have UMPF club drums loaded with 8 samples and an instance of drum sequencer.

I have managed to program in a standard beat, but i'm stumped by the following. The sound i have loaded into slot 7 in umpf i would like to trigger on 6/64 and 62/64 in every bar. Is it possible to do trigger this in drum sequencer, to get finer sequences in?

TIA
Graeme

Yes, I think this should do it: Program the sound on steps 2 and 16 (at normal speed, i e 1/16 notes) , and then set Slide for that track to +120, which corresponds to 1/32 (which is the same as 2/64). I think?

Sorry, the above was probably incorrect: I think 2/16 corresponds to 5/64, and 16/16 corresponds to 61/64.

So activate steps 2 and 16, and then set Slide to +60 (1/64th note) and you should get the positions you were looking for!

Cool many thanks for this. If I was wanting to trigger step 15/16 for a reverse clap say but only on the last bar would I enter a step at 15 and then slow the rate to x0.25?

Slowing the rate means slowing down the playback speed, at x0.25 each step will be a quarter note -- that's probably not what you want?

Once again you should use a combination of selecting the step that matches the timing closest, and then use Slide for fine adjustments.
