Robotic Bean Clappers
Love Robotic Bean REs. Been looking at both the clappers for a while. I’m pretty much drawn to the acoustic one as I reckon it could sound cool on some guitar tracks I’ve done. The electric one though? I’ve got a load of 808 modules and samples so I’m not really sure what the benefits of this RE are other than time saving. Can anyone tell me what they think of either or both of these REs. I’d really appreciate any views. Thanks

I really like them. I use the electric one more. They are easy to get sitting right in the mix. Width and depth so quick to set. In fact I'd say that getting the claps nice and wide is why i use this RE the most.

I like the clappers but there are some important missing features. I love the Slop feature with multiple hits on the Acoustic clapper but if you take CV out none of the slop hits are sent--just the single perfectly quantized single hit. So, for now, applying Slop to the other clapper or something like a Kong doesn't do anything. But most of all I want the ability to load any sample I want into the Clapper(s). That said, they're still pretty handy as final clap tracks if not temporary ones to be replaced later in production.
Not any more man. Gone from the shop for the moment. And anyway the sale price for both is less than half the normal bundle price .

Yes he is. Absolutely.
Have you tried them yet?

I like them, especially the acoustic clapper. At first I didn't think I would be using them that much, but they've been pretty useful in several tracks.

Love the Electro Clapper. For me, the never ending search for the right clap sample came to an end with this. Load the Rack, dial to taste - done.
Great job RB.
Great job RB.
The question is - Who cares
Haha, it's a shame but I still didn't make a track using them. This year was too busy but I think I can squeeze in some RE fiddling time during the winter holidays. Making an applause with the acoustic one sounds interesting. I have Euclid, so now I'm very tempted to try it as well.

It uses 14 instances of AC-1, 15 Thors (just for sequencing and envelope) + an RV-7000. Perhaps it sounds a little more like rain than actual applause, but if you squint with your ears a little...
One of the Ambience Generators (the urban one) has some pretty good applause sounds .
