Just wondered if anyone has any musings, thoughts or comments regarding the Softube amps in Reason. I use the Kuassas and haven’t even looked at the Softubes. I know I can compare them myself but would be interested in hearing what other people make of them. :)

I am not a guitar player and use my amps for other things. They have all their places and one work better than the others in some cases. I dont think there is THE ONE amp that IS BETTER than all others.

I also found some very good free VSTs, but forgot their names...

I am not a guitarist but often hang out in their proximity...
just a word of warning do not leave your girlfriend alone with them
or trust their drug dealers, keyboardists I've found have much better connections

I'm all Kuassa for guitar but bass it is split between Softube and Kussa. Caliburn kicks butt for anything rock or metal but can be used with anything guitar

Yes but vocalists will betray all of them. BTW I'll swap my guitar skills for yours... deal?

I always was led to believe that keyboardists knew their way around an organ and what buttons to press to make beautiful music.
And I know that the ladies like a good hard pianist.

What's better than roses on your piano?

Tulips on your organ.

I like them both. Although I hate the overly compressed Rock setting of Amp (what were they thinking?). Vermillion and Creme I own as well as the very nice OD3603, DS3603 and FZ3603 Efektors.

I didn’t bother getting the Dists. 30 odd happy years of sonic fuzz craziness and now I’m back to chorusy reverby warm soft and fuzzy (the other type) mellowness. The Kuassa modulation range is really nice.

didn't try the modulation stuff yet. using some vst stuff at the moment and Reason chorus for chorus and vibrato. Also Thor chorus.

My guitar skills include and are limited to owning one or two of these beasts.
I also own a suit but you don't see me nominated for the Supreme Court.

I’m finding myself partial to Kuassa, I especially like the new caliburn amp. With the advances in modeling technology I’m surprised softtube hasn’t updated their product in reason.

I also made a couple of IRs which is nice. Blended a couple of the IRs I found only and reversed engineered the Line 6 models. But also bought some Celestions. Already way too much to choose from.

Amateur bassist, like REAL BAD amateur but I can't do the Softube Bass Amp with a DI signal. It sounds like there's to many resonant frequencies every time it goes through it.

I can’t be bothered trying Caliburn ha ha. Is it really like a Marshall? Warm and round for nice bluesy sound? Or is it all overdrive like Creme?

I have no idea to be honest. I use it on synths and I've only heard a small vox amp + tiny orange amp in real life.

Anything can have a warm and round sound with some eq
