I guess the players work as live devices, would be cool though if players could also read from the sequencer.
Erm...they can read from the sequencer, or to be precise, they just receive note informations from somewhere...or do you mean something else?
Yeah, put player in combinator and feed combi with sequencer

Don't need to put them into a combinator. They work just by being attached to the instrument. Switch them on or bypass.

It works as live input. Can’t read ahead.

It puzzles me why users with v9.5 can't get new players. I mean, 9.5 already has players built in .
This RND didn't hit the shop at this present post, will it be for the 10.x only ?

There was an SDK update in 10.1 which allowed 3rd parties to build Players. Before that, we only had Players from Propellerhead. There are also new functionalities in the SDK, Players now have cables in the back, etc.

I think at this point Propellerhead just need to accept the inevitable and give you a job.
Rob (Lectric Panda) on the Prop payroll? HELL YEAH! I would love that!! He's got my vote... if I had a vote.
Players are to MIDI what synthesizers are to waveforms.

I thought about a device in which an array of randomized parameters is sent by CV to EMI and through midi loopback was returned to selected device.
Even earlier I did this in the NI Reaktor, but it turned out to be inconvenient.

Randomizing Parameters is something that could be easily done with Remote for certain control surfaces.
I did this ages ago.. this is the latest.

Hell no. A panda is much happy roaming free in its bamboo forest than locked in board meetings.

On a somewhat related tangent... many many years ago (like 10+) there was a freeware .exe floating around that generated random Subtractor patches. My memory is fuzzy because I only used it a couple of times, but I think it somehow interacted with an open instance of Subtractor, so you could audition/tweak the patches as they were generated. I also believe it had the ability to freeze selected parameters.

It would be pretty awesome to have such a utility for all of the Reason devices.

....... I thinking this must be imminent following the video. I keep watching the video. It's really cool. Feel like I'm sold before I know much about this or how much it will cost.

Anyone able to reverse engineer what this is actually doing from that video?

It is generating random midi notes of various length and pitches. And it align to scale (with Scales player). It is simple yet it can be complicated.

What i want to ask is there a way to record these generated notes somewhere on a separate track? I guess with some routing?

I mean imagine you tweak something perfect and you like generated outcome yet it will not be the same ever again. Having that record on seaprate track at least ensure that you can use that midi sequence for later-

It's a Player device, so the standard "Send to track" button should work (write the MIDI notes to sequencer clip) - you can see it in the video in the upper-right corner.

Can you at least publish the manual or the description that's gonna be there in the shop? I can't wrap my head around what the modes in upper-left corner do? :?

Also - how is it going to be priced? :)
