Kompulsion - update in the shop!

I've been working on some new stuff, thought I would share the progress.

This lets you mix values from neighbor sequencers, which gets awesome when the sequences are different lengths and rates.

So, is this something what Doepfer´s precision adders do on stereoids? Like it is cleverly cabled together by Steevio in its modular setup to generate interesting melody variations?

Sorry, Im not familiar with either of those things, but it does let you do all sorts of operations with values from a second sequencer

Sorry but i quite don't get what this mix feature is doing. Also when you're saying second sequencer you refering to another Kompulsion right ?

Can you give a concrete example of how this work exactly ?

Kompulsion has 16 sequencers, S1-S16.

Now lets say S1 has a length of 3 steps, and velocity values 10,20,30,
And lets say S2 has a length of 4 steps, with velocity values 5,15,25,35
Lets assume S1 and S2 also have the same clock scale, forward direction, no repeats, etc..

If we use the mixer section on S1, we change change the final velocity on S1 like so:

S1 Velocty: 10,20,30, 10,20,30, 10,20,30, 10,20,30
S2 Velocity: 5,15,25, 35,5,15, 25,35,5, 15,25,35

S1 Replace S2: 5,15,25, 35,5,15, 25,35,5, 15,25,35
S1 Min S2: 5,15,25, 10,5,15, 10,20,5, 10,20,30
S1 Max S2: 10,15,30, 35,20,30, 25,35,30, 15,25,35
S1 Avg S2: 7,17,27, 22,12,22, 17, 27,17, 12,22,32
etc...

Hum... Interesting.... I can do some kind of rythmic calculations where i can mix LFOs... Maybe... I see endless note variation coming... Mixing with PSQ and other CV sources... Arpegiators... LFO... Sequencers... Envelopes... Interesting...

Panda this is mindblowing. It does remind me on AUX events used at best hardware sequencer ever (imho) - Sequentix Cirklon.

- it's not the same thing but i can't find better video. Basically in Cirklon you can make a sequence affect other sequence in the running sequencer with probability amount, random amount, knob amount, you can force it to scale, gate lenght etc.

I adore kompulsion. I wish there is smaller brother with same functionalities but only (example) 10 sequencers inside. So larger display. Better for working with redrum or simpler stuff. Sometimes i am finding it hard to stare at tiny values but then i remember i have zoom function in Windows hehe,.

Any luck with my request to be able to set hard and soft fixed velocity values through the modifier keys when creating new notes (like drum sequencer and Redrum do) please?

how likely is it that you’ll be including CV ins for the timing of each sequencer track like you did for Propulsion with the Offset CVs?

that would make Kompulsion an insta-buy for me. until then, I’ll have to keep using Propulsion.

Right now I'm playing around with the idea of a modulation matrix PSQ style where everything could be modulated. Probabaly have some generic knobs in there too for automation

Holy Moley.... just found this 'Mix' thing in Kompulsion. ... WOW.

Kompulsion is the best - I use it as the beating heart of everything I do. It's like having all the world's best step sequencers and appreciators in one - and you can have many of them.

Can I suggest little improvement for next update? I need to shift sequence left-right, but not inside whole 32 steps as it is shifting now, but inside this sequencer custom loop length. I did not find a way to do this. Would be very useful.
