ReMark (also free) was specifically designed to be a rack labeler, not a wall of text or divider. With it’s color coding options it has a unique place in the “spacer” world IMO, and it’s the only way I use such devices myself.
And that's the rub, I think as RE designers we often do create things we'd like to see ourselves to fulfill for our needs, and no two designers see things quite the same way [emoji6] Neither of us really found a use for Spacre, but our needs turned out to be wildy different: so actually there are certainly three very different devices just in products that have no audio or CV! [emoji6] (I'm sure there's a fourth spacer, can't recall who did that one!).
And that’s the interesting thing about ReMark, as it’s the only RE I’ve released that was NOT my idea! It’s a group project before there were other options, where many others presented the initial idea and drove the eventual design spec, though not all ideas could possibly have been included in the end.

I guess what we’re both saying is: plenty of room in the ocean for all fish!

Saturation Knob is a bit of a nuisance in that it has no output level control. I must save it in a Combi with a Selig Gain.

KHs Limiter,
Air Raid Splitter,
JP's spider replacements,
Little LFO of course,
ReMark
I have other free REs but those are the ones that get used.

VST wise, I love TAL's free Juno chorus. It reliably makes stuff sound great.
XFer DJM filter,
All the freebies from Klanghelm.

Which leads nicely into the greatest free RE of them all, Groovy Melon's X Fader, gracefully add a dry/wet knob to anything or cross-fade anything between 4 source channels.

A succinct little device with many uses. My most regularly used RE I strongly suspect.

Agreed, super useful and could be $9-19 IMO!

TDR Nova free version is great, however didn't take long to happily pay for it.

My rack is most of the stuff found here: https://shop.propellerheads.se/

My wife and bank account are not happy about it, though.
Players are to MIDI what synthesizers are to waveforms.

Bought my license a few days ago. There's even a demo for the full version to try the enhanced features. But the free version is really one of the few "must haves".

I came across this YouTube video about free VST based plugins. It’s seems pretty legit so I thought I’d share the link to the video here. Cheers
