No introductory offer, $99? Wow. That's quite steep. I'm gonna pass for now.

The sale doesn't include ColoringEQ then?

And I can read your banter just fine without any EQ! :P

I got to play with this during beta testing and it is hands down my favorite production tool. It sounds amazing on everything and being able to use frequency targeted saturation does wonders for making something stand out in a mix.

Great work Selig!!

Come on, you KNOW my banter is better with EQ…in fact, it's better with just about anything added… ;)

Selig Rocks

http://www.seligaudio.com/products/seli ... ing-eq.htm

by all appearances its another master work from the man

Have not tried it yet but I don't get people slagging him for being priced 99

my veiw he's offering unique ways to get the mixs pumped and exiting.

I have to adnit I'm bored with all the synth varitions of RE's

but Selig is offering keys to blast off your mix

that is my perspctive

to me the most exiting addition to R 10 is synchronous

and Selig's color Eq is analgous in design but applied to freqency and saturation

Keep on creating bro

I am a huge saturation nerd. This is simply the most effective EQ and saturation unit ever!

Thanks Giles!!!

With what it does, and how effective it is, it’s definitely worth the price tag.

Congrats on the release, Giles! Fantastic eq, and as usual - something unique for the Reason rack that's never been done before. Bravo!

Right On! One of the “believers” speaks the truth!

I do like to say all EQs sound the same if you can match their curves (the tricky part). And I also typically like to add “unless there is saturation involved”.

But now I have to also add “and depending on HOW saturation is added”…
;)

Well, certainly not here in front of everyone. Oh wait, you mean “slagging”? No, none of that either…

Trialing it. Looks impressive. :) Bit slow on the visual feedback though.

Hi Selig,

very good work (Y) (ok, not the design / colors, but this is'nt as so important :D )

But please

a) maybe, can you give us a 'Solo'-Mode per Band (not only for Sat like it is now) ?
b) And in my eyes it wil be better to see the 'hz' / kHz' data a little bit longer (or I can change, what I wanna to see: note or Hz) or maybe show only the kind of EQ if we change it withing the little icons.
c) why no popups for the kind of EQ
d) can you implement a 'auto'-output (limit) or / and that the output-level will be corrected between bypass and on-mode?

ok sorry because all this questions, but will be nice if you can hear what we saw while testing this.
sorry for this engl.

thanks

I like this RE very much (Y) And maybe if you can change it a little bit, I'll buy ;)

A-Solo works on the EQ “per band” when saturation is off!
B-is coming with SDK 2.5 update.
C- is coming with SDK 2.5 update
D-Output correct is done with the output knob! Read my earlier comments on why this “Feature” cannot work well in every case, so is better to leave to the end user. All you need to do is set the output so the desired level is achieved according to the peak hold meter. This approach only takes a second, is FAR more accurate than any “auto” solution, and you need to be aware of levels anyway (it’s really simple to do with a peak hold meter).

ok, thx.

And So I now knowing how solo is working. But

Solo: please can you check this. Maybe I'm stupid, but if I'm using only maybe EQ 1 and 4, and I'm Solo 4. What I've to hear? Audio before or the after EQ (of this EQ-part)?. I think the after EQ, but it seems, that I don't hear this while soloing.

I knowing you are the specialsist, so maybe I'm going wrong here, but ...

Sorry, but another more question:

It's funny: most EQ's (as example: Rob P. too) telling 440 Hz = A4 (example: USA 440 Hz = named A4 too / Germany A') but you ("COLORING EQ") showing 440Hz = A3?
Is there a reason why, or maybe will there be a parameter to change our own about this?

thx. reg.

When you solo an EQ band, you will only hear what the EQ is adding or taking away from the sound - that’s why if you solo a band that has no boost or cut, you will hear silence.

The benefit to this approach is you can cut an EQ band, then solo it and only hear what you will be that band will be cutting. Sweep the band to find the “muck” you want to cut out, then when you un-solo the band you will now be cutting what you were just listening to!
