Nostromo's own random vs. Nostromo Generation ReFills

Recently discovered this ReFill series and was wondering how different the process of the random patch generation for the ReFills was compared to Nostromo's own randomizer or if the ReFills were generated with the same algorithm in place.

The Refills where generated for Nostromo v1 with a bunch of python scripts. Later, for Nostromo v2, most of that logic was moved over to exist inside the rack extension with a ton more control of whats generated.

Cheers for the reply Mister Panda! :) I was thinking I don't miss out by not keeping them around. Enjoying the Dual Arp and Synchronous ones a lot, combined with Nostromo in between.

my wallet said buy... money bye bye... question are all random generated refills different? or updates on existing refills? like wow... 6 refills... makes the price of admission worth it if all different :question: :exclamation: :thumbs_up: :thumbs_up: :mrgreen:

nostromo`s random generator has options to random generate plucks,pads,bass or textures, so now those generated refills are kind of integrated to nostromo :)

yes kind of... but perhaps direct patches for those not wanting to generate untill a good one comes along... could save some time in some cases

The patch generator built into Nostromo 2 is a little more advanced than the one used to generate the Refills. Also, the Refills were based on Nostromo 1, so they do not use all the extra stuff (filters 3&4, lfo 4-6, etc..).

ok... thanks... just bought the re up refill too... looking forward to this... love your stuff ...the Panda rules
still thinking the generated patches could be good starting points in some cases... love all your generated stuff... but as you say... perhaps better to generate my own... have a great break

I still think generated patches for fritz could be a good thing even though it has the engine... I found it difficult to tone down the craziness in the patches provided

would be nice to integrate randomness generator from N2 to fritz,it would make it little bit "less crazy"
