Q) Is there anyway to modulate the velocity of a pulse
You can modulate the velocity of a pulse if you run it though a sequencer.

Could you elaborate on what you mean by chain in series vs parallel ? Not sure what that is.

PSQ #1 set at 128 step count sync rate 1/16 produces a length of 8 bars
PSQ #2 set at 32 step count sync rate 1/16 produces a length of 2 bars

running PSQ #1 and at the end of the count trigger (Start) on PSQ #2 causing a 2 bar (Stop) on PSQ #1 while PSQ #2 completes its step count then (Start) PSQ #1.
There isn't any direct way to do this, but if I wanted to achieve this sequencing, I would create a 'meta psq' that acts as a master and the other two would be slaves. Then I would use the position output of the first and connect them to the Run CV of the other two.

so I gave it a try and unfortunately the chain example doesn’t work as I would like.

but I have been able modulate the Velocity of the pulses using some light artillery connected to CV as well as setting a lower value as above.

I have so much love for this device... have already done a few quick tracks in fully random mode (click the dice 7 times, attach whatever to wherever, and let it fly). Stuff is so weird and twisted and insane... I'm sure if I take my time and care to learn the device even more I can make some more "restrained" and "accessible" tunes with it too!

It's even more fun if I add a randomized Fritz to one or two of the devices that I have randomly sequenced through the PSQ. Total random overload and atonal madness for sure, but I like it that way!

Robotic Bean did an excellent job writing up how this is accomplished here:

Who else is looking forward on getting VSTs? with PSQ and for example Reaktor: How about using a Buchla in your Rack with PSQ?

If you listen carefully, You can get very close to that only with PSQ-1684 and the subtractor,

Another very good RE for this is Korde Sequencer.

I will use Reaktor with everything. :)

Never thought about it this way. But you are probably right. Have someone ever tried the generated ReFills with the PSQ? Invaluable source of inspiration ... Thor, PX, MonoPoly. Btw. Rob. I'm just creating an EP/LP and don't know yet how many tracks .... With MonoPoly only. A lot of this patches I used as a starting point for inspiration.

Next project after this will be Nostromo, because I love the Randomize feature. Every device should have that.

is it possible to create empty step in sequencer ?
Like in matrix or thor step sequencer where you can disable steps middle of sequence.

I don't think so. But there might be a work-around of some sort.

There really isn't any such thing in PSQ. The pulses/rhythm is decoupled from the sequencer. You can make a pulse stream that has certainly has off intervals. You could also set and/or modulate the skip of the sequencer. You could also modulate the velocity of the sequencer such that its zero on some steps.

thanks for the quick reply, i think this is good enough workaround.

I'm sure looking forward to getting my block ensembles into reason. Though I don't really know how it will work. Since vst 2.4 only supports midi I guess cv will be just midi, unless you can do a work around by converting cv to audio. But it will sure be interesting to try it out and see how it works...

A few few days ago I never imagined I'd ever buy a VST and now I own Reaktor 6. I love the Blocks. i also look forward to having them inside Reason. I still have much to learn...

Can't get an idea, why I don't hit the propper note:

Trying to set W8 at C, but it seems that I'm just able to hit it in the upper octave range. Could the be some odds with the math? Or maybe a V2 bug?! Don't know why but can't seem to get a C in the lower range going.

Anyone else having trouble down-loading product manuals from Lectric Panda's website?

Having issues downloading both Fritz and PSQ PDFs, causing my web browser to freeze.

It's working fine here, probably a connection issue?

Yes, had also problems downloading the Fritz Manual. Did you rename the pdf? I did and the download failed each time I tried. But when I used the original name of the file I was able to download the manual.

Thanks chaps. Obviously the issue is at my end. I'll begin with clearing cache and deleting cookies. If that doesn't work I'll turn my attention to browser settings and plug-ins.
