Bigger combinator

Anyone else think the combinator could use an expansion of more knobs and buttons? Or the ability to drag and drop only knobs or only buttons? I'd buy this as a rack extension too!

Think it was on the old puf that someone had designed an absolutely belting Supercombinator I think it was called. Ahhh man, it was pretty decent looking how he'd designed it.

8 rotaries, 8 faders, 8 buttons and more CV-inputs would make it use more of most MIDI-controllers. I think thats fairly doable....
yes please

Would be nice to have more than 4 knobs. A lot more. Anything from 12 - 24 + a hardware controller to go with it

hopefully someone will make one if Props won't....
i'm totally unaware of how to create rack extensions...certainly someone could do it?

This will give you eight more knobs in a combinator: https://shop.propellerheads.se/product/ ... arametrix/

There are many device out that give more knobs etc. however they all lack one major thing that the combinator gives which is the modulation routing, as combinators are a bit of a saving grace for IDT devices which lack CV in (except gate and note).MannequinRaces wrote:This will give you eight more knobs in a combinator: https://shop.propellerheads.se/product/ ... arametrix/
For me it's more important to have more CV ins for use with IDT devices etc. (I know one could argue just to have CV in on an IDT device however sometimes on a normal (full blown) RE the parameter you want control via CV is not there) .
but I would like to see more knobs and buttons as well.

Also true. You can sort of.... the second Cmb will go away for sure. But for example is you were to drag a piano/pad cmb into another cmb, you can still play the piano/pad together into one mixer channeltalex wrote:....I'd like to be able to drag a

I wish there would be more features than just more knobs. It should be a mini-Reaktor kind of device for those who want to build almost like mini-rack-extensions with all the LEGOs.
As example, there could be also a possibility to see LFO curves next to buttons or knobs.

My wish list:
More knobs and buttons - at least 8.
Selectable knob type between normal mode and step/jump/switch mode.
More audio io - at least 4 additional audio inputs and outputs.
More CV io.
Scrollable, unlimited number of Modulation Routing slots in Programmer.
Adjustable slope and curvature of target parameters.
So as props stated in the past, when implementing RE format: musicians wants more!
More features in Combinator I say !

The easiest solution would be to keep the legacy Combinator, and then just create something like the Combi-XT/XL/whatever. Literally just double the amount of controls, buttons that can be toggle or momentary/triggered, and call it done.
Oh, also, waaaaay more CV inputs. Enough that you could use the Hamu stuff or any other utility device to build your own custom controls inside the Combi and control it all through CV.

I've written this elsewhere, and I'll write it here. I'd love to see a macro system setup in the Reasin sequencer on a per track basis. Imagine having the macros pop up in a sectuon of the sequencer like the Regroove mixer does, fully customizable. Put all your devices into a combinator device, and then set up your macros with endless options.
